in the morning in the forest
It is still early, the nocturnal mists still hang over almost autumnal fields; some of its shreds have even strayed among the tall old trees of the forest.
The first tentative rays of the sun are still lost in this deep silence.
Thus the light and mood at this moment are a tribute to the painter Caspar David Friedrich.
As you know, I love patchouli scents: the deeper and earthier, the spicier the better!
So of course I couldn't get past "Patchouli Antique" by Les Néréides.
That's good, because I would have missed a wonderful fragrance experience.
Incense hovers in almost sacred beauty equal to the morning mists over this fragrance.
Soft and pleasantly smoky, opening soul and senses, it leads into the depths of earthy and moist patchouli tones: so dark brown gold veined and creamy they are; in almost devotional calm, this stream of fragrance flows through the entire composition.
The tall slender trunks of the Texas cedar surround like the pillars of a scent dome, providing a perceived shelter; generously releasing their spicy woody scent into the air of the early morning.
