Squeaky Strawberry for Teenagers
After this fragrance was praised in a Best-of-Vanilla video on YouTube as a great vanilla that makes its wearer smell like fresh pastries from a bakery, I was very curious. The statements here ultimately confirmed my decision to buy it blind.
However, so far, Vanille Gourmande has unfortunately not convinced me. This may be due to my skin chemistry: The vanilla is extremely quiet in the background. Even after the dry-down, I still strongly get the strawberry from the top note, which I find squeaky-synthetic. Given this, it feels more like a fragrance for young girls to me. What a pity!
Otherwise: A simple, not very complex fragrance. The longevity doesn't really impress me either; the scent fades very quickly. For the small price (I paid 15 euros), you can definitely give Vanille Gourmande a try.
