Today I'm back with a vanilla scent.
"You must be crazy! You want to test vanilla scents in this heat?" you’re probably saying now!
But of course! After all, the weather has been warm for about two or three days, but in a rather pleasant way, so you’re not melting from the oppressive heat! And above all, it’s nice to be able to sit in the apartment with open windows in the morning and even before noon without it becoming disgustingly hot by 8 AM… hey, I can even sit around in T-shirts again instead of half-naked in front of the computer.
Okay, I’m still pretty free down below, but… hey hey, that was a joke, but I bet you little gigglers have already started to chuckle, haven’t you? :D
But enough chit-chat, let’s finally get to the scent, which, as I said, is a vanilla scent that smells incredibly good!
The Scent:
Right from the start, I am enveloped in a huge, powdery-sweet cloud of fragrance that smells damn delicious of vanilla, caramel, cake with lemon icing, and just a tiny bit of milk. Or in other words: It really smells like a calorie bomb *sigh* :D
And as listed in the fragrance cloud, I can also perceive spices. Light, actually not really identifiable spices in the background.
For a while, the scent remains like this, quite gourmand sweet with warm-powdery notes. It’s pleasant and, as I often write here: quite delicious, enough to make your mouth water :D
However, it generally just smells delicious, as it later doesn’t remind one directly of a cake or anything like that. But as I said, the individual fragrance notes are very nice on their own :)
Even later, it still smells quite gourmand, especially with vanilla, caramel, light spices, now also with almond, light floral notes, and, if I’m not mistaken, a "hint" of earthy notes in the background. Even later, musk is added, making the scent appear even sweeter.
Oh, and if you’re wondering whether it smells "somewhere" like frangipani according to the scent name… better not ask me! Frangipani is still one of those flowers I’m unsure about. And since the scent is already very sweet, I can’t say whether part of this sweetness comes from that flower or not *sigh* :D
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is gigantic at the beginning, thanks to the fragrance cloud that appears and envelops you. However, this cloud dissipates quickly, so the projection is actually only average and therefore might not be perceived from too great distances. But still, it’s sufficient :)
The longevity is, as often with this type of fragrance, enormous, so you can really smell the scent on your skin from morning till evening.
The Bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical with a thicker base and is actually quite simple. On the front, there’s a printed label with the name of the fragrance and a nice flower illustration. The cap is transparent and also cylindrical, sitting on the gilded spray head. So I find the bottle rather unremarkable.
Phew, good thing I tried this scent on a not-too-hot day. It’s really very sweet and gourmand. Don’t get me wrong, even though I’m saying that the scent would have been extremely exhausting and oppressive on one of those monstrously hot days, I think it smells damn great. It’s just that for me, it’s more of an autumn and winter scent.
Anyway, as I said, the scent smells divine for anyone who loves gourmand fragrances with vanilla, generally sweet notes, caramel, and almond. It’s especially suitable for going out and, as always, to be enjoyed (oh, it must be delicious to enjoy one of you here, for example, mu ha ha ha :DD).
Therefore, I give a clear recommendation for testing, but maybe you should wait until autumn, as I somehow have the feeling that the hellish heat will return, which I certainly hope it won’t!
