Kissed by the Muse? Think again...

I ordered this fragrance spontaneously and blindly for two reasons.

First and foremost, of course, because of the listed notes that immediately appealed to me: almond, hazelnut, cocoa, vanilla... All ingredients that sound like a gourmand treat.
Additionally, the pretty bottle also caught my attention right away! The deep blue, combined with the golden shimmer, looks harmonious and very aesthetic. (It immediately reminded me of "Midnight Shimmer" by Michael Kors!)

In the first half hour after spraying, there is a certain resemblance to "Angel Muse (Eau de Parfum)" by Mugler that cannot be dismissed. This is probably due to the hazelnut and patchouli. However, unlike the Mugler fragrance, a delicious almond note quickly joins in here, gradually putting the patchouli in its place.

Over time, the fragrance then develops in a completely different, unique direction... Do you remember the good old Kaba powder?! Just imagine spilling an entire pack of it on the floor as a child... Alongside Mom's yelling, a deliciously fragrant cocoa cloud spreads in the kitchen - making your mouth water!

That's exactly how it is with this fragrance! In the base, cocoa clearly dominates. But not warm and steaming or freshly brewed, rather dry and powdery - like Kaba! :)

It's also worth mentioning the good quality of the bottle. The glitter does not flake off, even after multiple rubs, and stays where it should. Surprisingly, the cap is made of metal, which I did not expect beforehand. The little rhinestone embellishment... It's nice, but not necessary.

So, I'm off now. I'm in the mood for a cup of cocoa.

A Land of Milk and Honey for Adults....

Do you dream of a land of milk and honey?
Where in the midnight blue sky
cocoa clouds drift far away,

Then Liu•Jo Milano is the right choice for you! Gourmand fragrances are usually not my thing, too sticky, too sweet, too artificial, too overpowering. Accordingly, I didn't expect much. I was once again proven wrong.

Milano is neither sticky nor overly sweet. It is a multifaceted fragrance with a slightly oriental cocoa note paired with zesty juicy mandarin, a fascinating orange blossom, a hint of juicy almond, and a dry hazelnut note.
The sensuality is celebrated by an enchanting accord of vanilla and tonka bean, enveloped in a dark patchouli nuance.

The top note radiates with citrus-sweet fruitiness. The mandarin is perfectly captured and is supported by fine nuances of orange. Then a green almond joins in, juicy and delicious but without being marzipan-like.
The cocoa note is so real, not dissolved in milk, but the dry powder - I feel like I am standing right at a cocoa mill. And then this pure dry hazelnut note! I could just dive into it.
In the base, it becomes a bit creamier with dark vanilla and fine tonka cream. BUT patchouli and hazelnut make the fragrance sharper, deeper, drier and take away some of the sweetness, giving it a mature and characterful vibe.
From that point on, the fragrance is a sensual symphony of orange chocolate and warm patchouli. A land of milk and honey for adults, so to speak!
Sillage and longevity are in the upper third.
And then the bottle, it is really great. Dark midnight sky with orange blossom stars:-), absolutely high quality, the cap is heavy and made of metal.
And all of this comes at a super price. The Liu•Jo Milano is an absolute bargain!
(no, this is not an advertisement :-P)
Ah....
I just love it.....
ps... I see no resemblance to "Good Girl (Eau de Parfum) | Carolina Herrera," "Girl of Now Lovely | Elie Saab," or similar sweet treats. They have all fallen short....

Midnight Peaks

I smell something nutty with a slight fruity touch right after the first spray, very interesting, somehow very new and different, I like it right away, now I'm curious how it will develop. I am currently on a summer shopping trip with my significant other. In every store, with the warmth outside and the coolness inside, I find that I smell incredibly good, delicious, sensually cheeky, and a little enchanting. Yes, really, it develops excellently. It doesn't fit at all into the current somewhat uniform world, quite the opposite, it is super feminine, a bit softly gourmand with a sparkling zest - mandarin/orange. Deep down, I perceive my beloved patchouli (fine, fine). But it all fits together very well and leaves a scent song where the notes sing a temperamental, loving, seductive aria. Ladies, you will like this, vanilla and tonka seduce in a noble way without being cloying, the fragrance has class and elegance. The bottle is an absolute eye-catcher, midnight blue with fine and very soft lace, and a delicate gold chain that, through a diamond-like finish, casts a sparkle in the room, making its wearer look, in a word, "wow." That's what it is.....

Festive Mood and Winter Evenings

I stumbled upon this fragrance by chance while searching for a scent with a hazelnut note. The combination of almonds and cocoa also piqued my curiosity. Due to the affordable price and the beautiful bottle, I thought I would give Liu Jo Milano a try, and I was not disappointed! At first, the fragrance smells very strong and not sweet or gourmand to my nose. Instead, it is sweet and floral due to the mandarin, orange, and orange blossom. All the notes take a while to blend and reveal themselves. Once they connect with the skin, over time, you start to perceive the gourmand notes of almond, hazelnut, cocoa, and vanilla. They give it a lovely festive appearance and an elegant touch with tonka bean and patchouli. It also reminds me a lot of the Christmas plate my mother used to prepare during my childhood. Before Christmas Eve, she would arrange a plate with hazelnuts, walnuts, oranges, mandarins, and Kinder chocolate for each of my siblings. And everywhere, it smelled of cookies and vanilla. A wonderful nostalgic scent and at the same time an amazing fragrance for the winter season and Christmas holidays. Whether with family or at the Christmas party at work. Plus, it has a longevity of 6 hours and a strong sillage!️

Angel Muse Vibes

Orange start enveloped by almonds.
The orange / mandarin recedes a bit as the fragrance develops, and hazelnut takes over after a short while.
In the drydown, it becomes subtly sweeter due to the cocoa.
But it's not really a realistic cocoa.
It almost reminds me of coffee.
Sounds quite sweet, but luckily it isn't.
It's sweet, but still in a pleasant way.
I also perceive a nice powderiness.

The scent reminds me a bit of "Angel Muse (Eau de Parfum) | Mugler," but it's not a dupe.
I've also heard somewhere that it's supposed to be similar to "Good Girl (Eau de Parfum) | Carolina Herrera."
Personally, I don't really find that to be the case.
I find the Milano much more pleasant.
Good Girl is more synthetic and just much more floral.
But one cannot deny a similar DNA / vibe.

The performance is rather average.
For 1-2 hours, you get a mediocre sillage.
After that, you have a pleasant "scent bubble" that accompanies you for the next 4 hours, which you only notice when someone comes quite close.

My conclusion:
A nice, very feminine, slightly sweet scent that reminds me a bit of Christmas.
Anyone who likes fragrances like Angel Muse or Good Girl will surely be satisfied with this one.
I personally hoped that the scent would lean more towards unisex, but unfortunately, I was mistaken, and therefore I had to give it up.
Still, it's not a bad fragrance and a nice hidden gem for little money.

Anyone who loves Angel Muse will adore this one - gourmand without drowning in sweetness, somehow soulful, down-to-earth, strong, skillful without trying too hard!
