Insider Tip
Recently, I received a small sample in an envelope of a fragrance I had never heard of before.
After a quick search here, I found Extreme Amber… and wow, this is THE insider tip for bargain hunters and powder lovers, now exclusively available at our trusted drugstore.
But what do you get for this unbeatable price?
Well, take 2x Teint de Neige Eau de Parfum and 1x Tonka, mix it slowly so that all the molecules blend homogeneously. What emerges is a truly beautiful, soft powder scent with a warm, cozy base that honestly lasts 24 hours. Wow! And another wow!

Perfect fragrance for winter winds. You are greeted by clouds of powder filled with citrus sprinkles that rain down amber pearls. These later roll over a very gentle patch of earth that adds a bit of depth to the scent. Once the vanilla-tonka drops & caramel topping distribute their comforting sweetness, the fragrance is simply wonderful.
soft, powdery, warming & delicious.
Yes, it lasts 24 hours, but for anyone who has ever smelled Teint de Neige Eau de Parfum and was overwhelmed by it, Extreme Amber is the better choice. Even though it lasts that long, it’s not nearly as powerful as Teint de Neige…. Extreme Amber is always present but remains subtle and in the background. However, it’s only nice if you don’t use more than 3-4 sprays; otherwise, it can become a bit annoying (just like with Teint de Neige…). The base is less powdery and more tonka-ambered and warm.

Powder lovers, get ready! You can't go wrong here.
PS: There are 5 more fragrances in this line that I still need to test. I also found Extreme Musk quite well done.

Opulent Pastry from the Victorian Manor
I, a passionate friend of the (romanticized) Victorian era, the Baroque period, and everything related to it, strolled into the quaint pharmacy of my choice on a gloomy, rainy afternoon and immediately discovered the new bottles from Louis Varel on the shelves. Why immediately? After all, I am only 1.52 cm tall and the heavy bottles were quite high up on the dusty wooden shelves. Only the golden letters of the noble perfume bottles were reflected by the light of the old gas lamps, which fell faintly through the dusty window of the old pharmacy. My gaze glides over the white bottles: Amber, Rose, and Musk, and I immediately get associations with Jane Eyre, Mansfield Park, or even the romantic series "Bridgerton." It is clear to me: I must own one of these scents! Or at least the bottle.

My green, velvet-trimmed lady's coat rustles slightly as I stretch up and grab the white bottle "Extreme Amber." It feels heavy in my hand, and I close my eyes as I spray the scent with the promising title...

Year 1856. I find myself in a luxurious Victorian manor. The whole house smells heavenly of roasted almonds, vanilla, thick creamy custard, and a mysterious, resinous hint of amber - is it perhaps Christmas time? Or is a gentleman waiting for me in my salon? The white ruffles rustle, exuding an enchanting powdery scent as I quickly move through the corridors adorned with white chandeliers, warm, enveloping, creamy sweet, and opulent, accompanied by a hint of mystery and the question of who prepared these delicacies?

I descend the white stone staircase, the entire hall shimmering festively in the golden and amber light of the amber, accompanied by vanilla and creamy roasted almond syrup. I can almost feel it flowing down my throat as I move towards my salon, but - wait, what is that? Under the staircase, a small, tiny door stands open, richly adorned with white and golden ornaments. I am too curious; I peek inside and discover what I have been searching for: the secret spice cabinet of this manor!

And there I finally find the secret delicacy I have been looking for: roasted almonds, enveloped in fine vanilla, baked in a caramelized pudding of thick cream embedded in the resinous refinement of golden, smoky amber, embroidered with white musk flowers. And once again, this incredible, opulent, and creamy scent hits me in the face, enveloping me, making me almost dizzy, and I can only grasp one thought: May the feast begin!

No, no, no
After watching a video on YouTube about how great this scent is supposed to be... so niche, so warm, so soothing, so affordable for what it offers, amber for beginners... I went to the drugstore and sprayed it on a test strip. Okay, I thought, this really doesn’t appeal to me at all. I kept the test strip in my car for days and kept smelling it, and my impression didn’t improve. Then I watched another video, and it said; folks, you have to wear this scent on your skin, you have to give it a chance to unfold. Yes, I thought, maybe you were too hasty, test it again on your skin. I don’t want to offend the perfumer or the people who love this perfume. That is really far from me, but I absolutely cannot find anything positive about this smell. On the contrary, it would be the epitome of a scent that I hate. It weighs heavily on my stomach like a nauseating burden. Even after I washed it off, it was still there. I have images in my head of a small, old, and cluttered shop in a crowded oriental bazaar. And not in a romantic sense. There is no red thread. From incense sticks to musty carpets, spices to plastic flowers, there is just everything. It’s loud, intrusive, and dusty. I also find this scent/odor extremely outdated. Sorry, I really wanted to give you a chance, but we will not be friends anymore.

Noble Bakery in Paris
You enter a noble bakery in Paris, which already emanates an enticing scent from the outside.
In the air, there is the smell of sweet, fresh pastries.
The ovens behind the counter envelop you in a comforting warmth, and you feel wrapped in a cozy blanket.
It smells of lemon cream and caramelized sugar.

This is how Extreme Amber makes me feel when I close my eyes. This fragrance conveys a sense of security and inner peace for me.

H&S are outstanding! I am constantly complimented on the scent and told that I smell so "delicious." However, the fragrance is still not too gourmand.

Similarity to ....
Teint de neige. That's how I perceive the scent. TdN was toooo powdery for me, so I quickly sold it again. EXTREME AMBER has 100% vibes but not quite as intense. I find it very suitable for everyday wear and very beautifully feminine. Powderiness dominates but is also very long-lasting. For the price, absolutely recommendable.

The dry, cozy sweetness that surrounds me for hours is enchanting, as I love powdery scents. For me, the most beautiful in the series.

This caramel is indulgent. Creamy, resinous gourmand with floral notes, not as sweet as expected. In fact, it's even a bit fresh.

Very average amber scent with little depth, patchouli, tonka, vanilla, but just a bit of everything. New at DM for €19. Okay.

I don't find the powdery spice too sweet at all - to me, the scent feels very calming and cozy, grounding. A mood-lifter for bad weather!

Warm-soft, dark amber vanilla dream. Powdered sugar associations. Beautiful. H&S are totally fine & the bottle is great for the small price.

Enveloped, powdery, dark amber.
A light, beautiful sweetness lingers in the background.
Calm. Quiet. Autumn, winter.

Delicious, gourmand, creamy amber scent.
Sounds weird, but the amber smells a little like the air on New Year's Eve.
Price/Quality very good!
