Pine and vetiver
I really like the idea of smelling like a forest. Whenever a fragrance's description alludes to dense pine trees or leaves underfoot on loamy soil, I'm immediately captivated. And I'm almost always disappointed. I feel like it's a very tough scent and feeling to get exactly right.
Itasca does a pretty good job though. The pine is fresh and airy, while the vetiver brings you back down to earth and represents the forest floor. The whole thing kind of gives me the feeling of a fougère, with more woody aspects. All in all, a very well-crafted fresh woody.
