Kigriz Lubin 2026

Inspired by my girlfriend, I simply had to blind-buy Kigriz. At that price, there honestly wasn’t much to think about, either. And if it hadn’t turned into love after all, I knew exactly who would have happily taken it off my hands… right, dear A.?

I expected to like the fragrance. But I absolutely did not expect to fall for it quite this hard right away.

Those who know me know that I’m pretty easy to win over with natural, citrusy and slightly tea-like fragrances. At the moment, I also like them to be a little quieter. Not a scent cloud that still says hello three houses away, but fragrances that you keep noticing yourself and that only reach those around you when they come close to me.

The opening with bergamot, lime and verbena is wonderfully fresh and carefree. I’d love to hold on to this exact moment, because I enjoy it anew every time. Afterwards, the fragrance becomes a little greener and softer. Mate and lemon thyme bring a beautiful, natural sense of calm

And then comes the part where Kigriz finally won me over completely. In the drydown, it becomes warm, soft and incredibly cozy. Musk, amber and tonka bean wrap around me like a freshly washed favorite cardigan. It’s that comforting feeling when you take off your shoes after a long day, get comfortable on the sofa and think: “There, now I’ve arrived.”

It’s one of those fragrances you’d actually like to gatekeep and make accessible only to your favorite people.

I must confess, I write very few reviews these days.

I prefer to keep it short and to the point.
There are plenty of other perfume enthusiasts who write wonderful reviews, and in my opinion, there’s no need for yet another 30th one on top of that.

But this fragrance has something so fine, so delicate and beautiful about it that I want to try to express myself in a bit more detail after a long time.

When I smell Kigriz, a little film immediately plays in my mind's eye.
I see a pretty lady in a hotel in Paris.

She has just showered and taken care of herself.
Her warm skin still smells of her shower routine with minerals and amber. Over that, her expensive body lotion with musk, cotton flowers (not listed), and mate blends with the scent of her hair care made from natural bergamot, lemon oil, and amber.
Everything smells wonderfully fresh, well-groomed, and very airy.

She is a very delicate and feminine woman. Very sensitive, but she carries a glow within her that is otherworldly.

She puts on her beautiful linen dress and heads to the park.
It’s still early morning.
It rained during the night, but the sun is already shining so brightly - right in the middle of summer - that one can olfactorily perceive all the greenery around her. It mingles with her own scent, which she literally "radiates".

She sits on a bench in the middle of the park and enjoys the moment.
She doesn’t want to stand out, especially not to be seen at all costs, but rather to make the most of the moment and feel good. Just to be.

And at that moment, her very special glow emerges again, along with a hint of a scent that is beautifully almost ethereal.

One perceives it more with the heart / with the mind than just with the nose.
It’s almost a feeling that is conveyed, like a taste. A feeling of freedom, freshness, and well-being.
More a way of L(i)ving than of smelling.
It is the whole and not just a part (the perfume)
And yet, everything belongs together, and the circle closes.

The scent:

At first, the citrus notes come through immediately, especially the bergamot, but not sharp or artificial, rather fresh, gentle, and clean.
In the drydown, the mate quickly joins in, which in my opinion prevents it from becoming sharp and excellently bridges to the base with the musk, amber, tonka, and amber.

Relatively quickly, the base becomes truly present, and from there, the scent remains as it is, but that’s fine with this fragrance.
On the contrary, I find it very skillful how the contrasts of citrus, amber, mate, etc. harmonize with the warmth and powderiness of musk, amber, and tonka while still retaining the freshness without drifting into warmth or artificiality.
It’s also nice how the citrus remains present without disappearing or becoming synthetic/sharp.

The scent itself is more of an overall impression.

When someone wears this fragrance, it’s an "emanating/scenting as a person" that smells good, rather than "a person wearing a specific perfume," and that’s what I personally find the most fascinating about this perfume.

Sillage and longevity:

As mentioned, it’s not a banger, which wouldn’t suit it at all and would take away its magic.
But it is perceptible for 5 to 6 hours (depending on dosage) quite well.
But as already mentioned, more as a whisper that gently surrounds you again and again.

Just like the sillage.
It is a quiet but steady one. Nevertheless, or rather, precisely because of that, somehow noticeable, because you can’t quite place who or what smells so wonderful around you, as it’s just a hint but keeps appearing a bit out of nowhere - very intriguing.

It’s certainly not a scent for everyone and shouldn’t be ordered blindly, as one must already like this type of fragrance.

But if so, it’s definitely worth a sample.

In my opinion, it is absolutely unisex, even though I always have the above-mentioned image in mind.

PS: A typical scent for the height of summer when all other fragrances feel too much. Then it’s exactly its time.

P.S.: A tiny bit of pepper in the background is something I can constantly perceive lightly, but just enough to push the other ingredients in their individuality without being peppery in that sense.

Thanks to a recommendation here on Parfumo, I stumbled upon this scent, so I organized a sample and waited eagerly!

Freshly sprayed, I am enveloped by a truly fresh and zesty lime bergamot combination. Relatively quickly, a subtle tea scent joins in, quietly elegant for me.

The fragrance becomes creamier, and in between, the scent of chestnut blossoms flashes through, reminding me of childhood, warm days outside in the park, the sun shining, everything blooming, and every breeze bringing that delicate sweet scent to my nose!

This scent memory is perfectly captured for me here; for that reason alone, the bottle will find a place in my collection!

For me, everything harmonizes wonderfully together; all the fragrance notes are perfectly balanced.
