Another wonderful citrus-glazed vanilla cookie
This gets compared to Xerjoff Lira a lot, which is one of my favorite perfumes. I enjoy all the citrus/vanilla combos that get compared to it (including L de Lolita Lempicka, the godmother of them all). So it's no surprise I really like Lana, too.
When a perfume has a scent profile that has been done many times before, I find it a bit difficult to describe it on its own merits, but I'll try. Lana combines a very warm, rich, slightly creamy and very mouthwatering vanilla with smooth caramel and various citrus fruit. It smells both orangey and lemony to my nose, but not exactly like either of them, which makes sense as it has notes of orange, grapefruit and bergamot. I can't say that the floral notes or musk are very discernible, but I guess they exist to make the scent smoother.
All in all it reminds me of a cookie of some type and has more of a wintery, cozy, borderline Christmas-like vibe.
Compared to Lira and L, Lana is the most vanilla-focused and less spicy. The citrus notes are a bit more subdued and without any bitterness. It also doesn't have the saltiness that L has. This is really the warmest, smoothest, most edible out of them all. I'm a tad more into Lira, it feels a bit more delicately constructed and dynamic to me, but if Lira didn't exist, I'd buy Lana in a heartbeat.
