A cold scent that leaves me cold, too

This is very herbal and spa like, but also clean and crystal clear. Like ice cubes with a splash of lemon juice herbs in them that you'd put in your cocktail. I prefer the clean and icy side of it, I can do without aromatic greenery in most perfumes.
Interestingly this doesn't really have herbal notes in the official list. The cardamom and vetiver mixed with the bitter aspects of the citruses play tricks on my nose, I guess.

I definitely do not get any florals, tonka or amber. I wish I did! This is neither a sweet scent, nor a cozy or fluffy kind of musk, the overall feeling is cool and transparent with hints of green.

It's clearly not for me, even though it's not unpleasant. It feels a bit empty and unexciting to my nose, I don't get the titular panache. A bit disappointing honestly. Maybe it just doesn't entice me because it's not my style, but I also think they could have done a bit more with the concept. Meh.

A consistent musk-centered unisex fragrance

As soon as I tried Musc Panache, I was captivated by its ability to give persistence and cleanliness to the musky note, which forms the heart and base notes around which the fragrance is built.

The scent opens with a crisp citrus combination that gives it life and freshness. After about 15 minutes, the musk note takes over.
There is nothing animalic about this note; rather, it is a much cleaner musk, thanks to the presence of iris.

I was very impressed by the perfumer's ability to give evanescence to the iris note, in the sense that this note (which usually takes over from the others), has the sole purpose of rounding, cleaning up and giving a touch of powder to the undisputed protagonist of the perfume, musk, which is at the same time softened by amber and tonka beans. I detect a touch of soapy vetiver in the drydown.

I think this fragrance is extremely versatile and can be worn in formal, professional or evening contexts, but not in sporty ones. Considering that it is a musk-based fragrance the duration is quite good: it projects moderately for 2-4 hours, after which it sits close to the skin for another 3-4 hours. Sprayed on clothes it lasts for days.

Musk perfume for perfumers

"Musc Panache" is an incredibly delicate, balanced musk (cream) fragrance, in which all its components flow masterfully ineinader, which is incredibly versatil and which certainly likes creator Maurice Roucel or generally perfumers smell.

Extremely neat, but unobtrusive and discreet. A blue-translucent musk in master mode. Breezy, slightly sweet (tonka bean), minimally floral (iris), but overall balanced and exquisitely paced like ice cream in the Sahara. Transitionless. Seamless. Masterful. I can only repeat myself. Making a lot out of a little. Delicious and pure understatement. Almost layer-worthy. But it's also a treat on its own. Now that's what I call smelling good. Magic cement. Niche and yet everyday life through and through. Well, I guess even millionaires have to go shopping at the supermarket. Shimmering and caring. Unpretentious. The opposite of a whopper.

Flacon: reminiscent of Prive lines. Magnetic head. Handy. Fine.
Sillage: delicate and enigmatic
Longevity: good measure - 7-8 hours. Especially for a Musc.

Verdict: one of the most elegant and perfectly blended musk fragrances on the market. Certainly one of Roucel's personal favorites and wearable squared. Always. Everywhere. Gladly. Seems so simple - is so heavy.

Disappointed

Tried this 1 hour ago.
Opening is spicy-citric. Nice but not groundbreaking.
Very quickly iris and some sweetness come into play.
Once dried down (less than 30min) it turns into a skin-scent...
Clean musk, some vetiver, some wood... Do I get the Tonka... Not so much....
Need to hold my nose to my arm to smell it.

Conclusion: the scent on it's own is good... Projection is bad... I see them on the net for 150€... I would say: save your money
