The Untamed Roasted Coffee on Noble Wood – When the Nut Shows Its Teeth
Anyone approaching this with the expectation of getting a sugary-sweet, creamy funfair coffee with fluffy milk foam will be surprised at the very first spray.
The fragrance is an incredibly characterful, deep statement.
It delivers an uncompromisingly strong and distinctly tart-nutty roasting experience that I really enjoy in the dark autumn fragrance segment.
Scent: 7.5/10
To start with, you get an extremely authentic, deep note of black espresso, which is immediately overlaid by a very dominant roasted hazelnut.
It smells incredibly dark, roasty, and almost a bit woody-bitter – like coffee beans being heated directly in the roasting drum along with nut shells.
As it develops, the fragrance continues to gain a dry, masculine structure. The tart nut-coffee blend merges with earthy, dark patchouli.
Any floral nuances, as well as the pear note, are completely missing here, allowing the fragrance to retain its striking, unstoppable edge.
Longevity: 8/10
The performance is once again very strong.
Conclusion:
A very characterful gourmand fragrance.
Less sweet, rather significantly tarter in scent.
