And goodbye....I'm off!

...And indeed on vacation! Well, at least mentally for now. :-)
As soon as the first rays of sunshine tickle our noses, hormones go wild, moods lift, we are filled with energy, and especially develop spring feelings, my nose longs for fruity and light freshness.
The winter perfumes are stored in the back corners of the closet, and the summer perfumes are moved to the front.
It comes just in time that Marc Jacobs is taking us to a warm tropical island this year with his summer splashes. Perfectly fitting for my wanderlust, of course ;)
When I stood in front of the new Tropical collection today, I just couldn't decide.
I find them all extremely refreshing, and so different from other summer perfumes.
In the end, I chose Rain and Hibiscus.
Hibiscus is the fruitiest and most intense of all 3 splashes! At least at the beginning...
When sprayed on, it smells like fresh raspberries and mandarins for the first 15 minutes.
After that, the scent doesn't undergo much transformation; I find it simply becomes a bit earthier and woodier!
Generously misted after showering, it instantly lifts your spirits.
I layered it with Daisy today, and I think a completely new scent experience was created.
In general, I recommend layering the scent with other perfumes, as the longevity is not particularly good despite being an Eau de Toilette.
In summary, I can recommend the Marc Jacobs splashes to anyone looking for a summer perfume that you don't smell on every corner! ;)
