Yeah, I'm a pussy
with reference to Mr Jensemann's statement replies :D

I distributed about two drops of the sample on my forearm....luckily not anymore ;-)
Right at the beginning there is a rather dense, animal note. I already find this very difficult to get used to. The fragrance becomes increasingly resinous-sweeter and conveys a feeling of fragrance curtain - no veil, rather dark velvet curtains. At the same time there is also a powdery impression.
Rose I can't see with the best will in the world, rice powder - hm, yes, yes, if that means this dusty-powdery note.

Applied about three hours ago, the fragrance has remained the same, but much thinner and quieter. As if diffuse light from outside would penetrate through the moth-eaten holes in the curtain

The animal scent reminds me very much of "Lui@Mazzolari". But this one lacks the ´Pudersüße´ available here. So NO twin, more of a distant relative. But both are real "stinkers" :D

I don't like that about me and I don't like that about a fellow human being in a closer environment, I'd rather not.
And yes, Jensemann, you're right :P

Sticky rosy powder
This whole Marlou line of Ambilux-Carnicure-Poudrextase is a bit of a freak show. Fascinating and gross at the same time. Out of the three, Poudrextase is the least 'animale' to my nose. Nevertheless an odd case. The opening is a repulsively sweet stinky breath. It dries down to a more harmless floral powder with a little funk.

Not as carnal, primal as the other two. Performance is decent, although a bit weaker than the other two. Wearable? I guess so. I'm pretty sure I won't wear it again after today, though.

Rose-Animalic Chord
Who does not know it, you wake up in the morning and think to yourself: In Corona times, something new is tried again. So at Marlou cheaply ordered the three fragrances. The most wearable for me is Poudrextase. It is a very light powdery, slightly animalic rose. I have smelled this same accord before. Namely, in 1 Million - Absolutely Gold (I don't consciously remember smelling the original 1 Million before). In reviews of 1 Million - Absolutely Gold, there were opinions that the scent was a bit too feminine floral or reeked of urine. The scent doesn't qualify as animalic (it does at Fragrantica, though), which is probably because either no one trusts a Rabanne mainstay to be animalic or the niches here just missed the scent. Or you just expect that a niche house then just MUST be extremely animalic, is there in the program.
I find both fragrances, Poudrextase and 1 Million - Absolutely Gold similar animalic and floral, whereby Poudrextase is still a little more animalic and floral. However, the embellishment and embedding of 1 Million - Absolutely Gold is also missing, which makes Poudrextase a bit naked and exposed and also a bit more feminine.
Nevertheless, I like him!

Venus in Fur Pleasurepain
Another self-experiment from the "I have to go through this now" series. Although I was least worried about applying this one.

I could imagine that Venus in fur by Sacher Masoch would have smelled like this. An icon like that doesn't need a cloud of mist around it. The scent is memorable. Something like dark red lipstick, dried saliva and some dark flower. I don't know whether I find it worrying or attractive. Then there's boudoir powder with a furry animal dominance. A calm woman's voice from a dark dungeon niche that says "come here..." while you have lost your way in the vault and now come to an abrupt halt. Unsure whether to give in to curiosity or keep going. It could hurt, it could also be so pleasant. The emphasis is on "could". You'd have to get involved and be far too close to find out. The last thing you heard was a breathy "Good thing...". It was soft, warm, cuddly and at the same time this hand that grips your hair faster than you could back away and pulls your head back until you are unable to move and voluntarily comply with every whispered request. An eternity follows. The smell remains forever tied to this woman, because you had to get way too close and give it your all to find out.

I know her and I know exactly who to give this perfume to. I can already hear her smirking. At the very end, I am left with pure musk. Still quiet but infinitely dominant. If you don't want too strong a scent because you "work with people" ;). If you want to make a subtly threatening statement from the extreme, definitely a good choice.

comfort
fully went into trying this perfume expecting to not like it a whole lot, but this was actually, surprisingly, exactly what i needed. i find this more comforting (definitely required) than shocking, disturbing, (certainly not faecal to my mind) or even sexual. it opens with a dried rose petal potpourri, along with a beautiful, cool-powdery note, almost even a little citric, that is fresh and inviting. what i perceive as a savoury woodiness lurks in the background, which could be an effect of the animal notes and maybe the rice, but they're tamed into a slight shadow rather than a roaring beast. the potpourri impression fades as the muskiness comes forth, skin-warm and talcum-soft, slightly honey-sweetened, still a little rosy. even a sour counterpoint comes into play later, weaving in and out as it sits, beautifully calibrated. there is a complexity here that betrays the spare list of notes. i find it all glorious.

Most wearable of the line, lean more floreal, mantains the animalic touch but nicely blended with the pouder vibes. very warm, yet sexy.

Very animalic perfume but more weareable than carnicure and ambilux. powdery notes and dry flowers are noticeable giving an original vibe.
