Blind purchase -- 1:1 comparison with L'Attesa
Since I like L'Attesa by Masque so much and Nettuno was indicated here as fragrance twin, I could not bridle the ordering finger and ordered Nettuno blindly without further ado...
Well hopefully this is also good - with the price, that would be a pity...
When the darling finally arrived, I had to spray on it and compare it with L'Attesa:
Nettuno begins with a fine citric note, which also brings with it a light spice...
I didn't really notice this citric prelude with L'Attesa, but later on....
Nettuno leaves the citric prelude behind him and inspires with a tender - in my eyes salmon-colored rose....
Immediately a fine luxurious leather is added, which pushes the rose a little into the background...
But a slightly sweet powderiness is added, which already goes fully in the direction of L'Attesa!
Beautiful!
In the finish "only" a little resin is added, which rounds off the fragrance wonderfully! Grandios!
If one compares him now 1:1 with my beloved L'Attesa the following is noticeable:
The beginning of Nettuno is much more citric than that of L'Attesa. L'Attesa is a little more subtle and finely interwoven... Nevertheless the prelude of the Nettuno is beautiful...
In the heart note Nettuno is more floral and less powdery than L'Attesa.
L'Attesa is also more finely woven in the heart note, somehow more filigree....
The leather has both fully on it and it was skillfully used!
With L'Attesa I find it a bit stronger or more intense than with Nettuno. With the Nettuno it is softer and more connected with the other components. With the L'Attesa the leather stands out somewhat more dominantly...
In the base both become quite tame and dear.... The Nettuno becomes creamier with a slight resinity and the L'Attesa remains rather powdery-fine and cuddly... of course still with the beautiful leather...
It's really not easy to say which of the two I like better, because both are beautiful and each an absolutely unique and absolutely skilful masterpiece!
Chapeau to the perfumers, you both got me! And I don't have to decide for one, because I can call them both my own now ;-)
A triangle so to speak (apart from my other favorites ;-P)
