A Visit to the Tea Shop
The Tea Tonique as an Extrait de Parfum is like a visit to the local tea shop.
Little surprising, the tea is in the foreground here. However, it is mixed like in the small shop with its numerous varieties.
In the scent, individual nuances of different tea varieties can be sensed, which can be described as green and slightly bitter in combination.
The Tea Tonique remains unobtrusive, and it retains the rather calming and smoothing effect of tea scents.
Surrounding the concentrated tea impression, a yellow lemon stands at the beginning, which fades after 10 minutes, leaving the stage to the main accord. The described smoky notes are not perceptible to me, and thus the scent, as the color of the bottle suggests, remains a decent dark green on the skin for quite some time. In this process, the tea entertains me more as a scent carrier than my environment.
The difference to the Eau de Parfum can be well highlighted by the name of the fragrance. The Eau de Parfum is more "Tonique." It is zesty, fresh, and has these green-black tea aspects.
The Extrait focuses more on the "Tea." It leans less towards freshness and concentrates more on the depth of the tea itself. This makes it slightly longer-lasting with consistent sillage.
A nice variant that, for me in relation to the price, could have a bit more radiance.
