I wanted to keep two rose scents from Mizensir side by side for testing purposes. That's what I had in mind when 'Rose Exaltante' and 'Alma de Rosario' were each allowed to sit on the back of a hand. Meanwhile: Rose was missing on the right. It quickly became apparent that "Rosario" could mean anything in Spanish, but does not mean the "Rosarium" I had assumed; the corresponding vocabulary would have been "Rosaleda". Aha.
The name of the perfume rather refers to the garden of the perfumer's blessed mother. "Blessed" I write, as the jurists say, "with no knowledge", because I do not wish the good woman that she had to witness the moment when her garden smelled so badly.
An intense flower stink on an aquatic breeze, close to the early flowering stage. After a few seconds, a viscous lily of the valley* sweetness blends into your head. A rough, wooded base promises a prominent contribution of chemistry - which I did not expect differently from this supplier, however.
Within half an hour, the scent settles on a kind of warm rubber, like a mixture of:
1. a carefully maintained car door seal on a glowing summer day
2. a gymnastics sitting ball just pulled out of the packaging
3. a ready-to-use condom
4. a fresh rubber dinghy frying in the sun on the beach together with a sea breeze.
I'm afraid that all these associations come at least partly from the so-called lily of the valley, which can show some originality with it - but which unfortunately doesn't help me at all now, especially since the mixture shoots for hours in laboratory-penetrating immutability.
Only around noon I like to call the overall picture more floral than rubbery. Besides the merciless main actress, of course, I succeed in thinking of the other flowers mentioned in a heartbeat at best with difficulty, for also in the continuation the two ladies are reliably kept in check. The pompous supremacy gradually recedes, but an energizingly clean musk note and watery-culmy-spicy (artificial) wood jump into the breach and, together with a vague floral remnant, which again seems to me rather early-flowering, flatten the rest again
Conclusion: I feel like part of said "rest".
At the end of my small test series (I thank Kovex for the opportunity to do so!) a brand conclusion is still missing, and that turns out to be sobering: The Mizensirs are almost always disappointing, some even very disappointing. Most of them are blatant chemical bombs. The pharmacy price doesn't seem justified to me anywhere.
