A very strong lavender scent, one spray filled my living room, big projection too. I sense real quality here but alas it's not my thing.

Sweet ambery lavender

Lavande by Molinard is a warm ambery lavender that verges on the oriental side without crossing the line. It is unashamedly lavender with a sweet, true lavender bursting at the top supported by warm vanilla and tonka with amber (benzoin, labdanum) that is immediately apparent but not overpowering. It is hardly fresh as the sweet, warm, ambery base becomes more and more prominent in the dry down, which makes this scent rather elegant yet cozy. It is a proper unisex scent that will fit with most people's understanding of the word - dare I say. Fantastic value for money in terms of quality, projection and longevity of the scent.

Not a dupe, but still good

I bought this scent because I always wanted lavender extreme (but just too expensive).
It's not a dupe but is very similar as they both just smell like lavender.
Tom Ford, I think, is more complicated and versatile, while Molinard is more linear.
But it's a beautiful, calming scent in itself that smells like real lavender. A little powdery, a little sweet vanilla, a little fresh due to musk in the background. Patchouli and tonka do not come out for me.
