Arabians Tonka Montale 2019

And it's full of sweaty, tightly dressed men dancing to Perfume Genius. The horse walks over to the bar.

"ID?" goes the bartender.

The horse doesn't have one. It doesn't even understand what the bartender is trying to do, doesn't understand the concepts of an occupation or monetary exchange. The horse sweats, shakes its head slightly, starts to walk away from the bar over the beer-stained floor.

A kind young man strolls over.

"Lost?" he says, stroking the horse's mane.

Horse knows it has been addressed, doesn't respond.

"Wait, it's friendly!" says the young man. "Let's get selfies with it!"

The young men dance over, pull out their cell phones, begin taking selfie videos with the nervous horse in the bar. The waft of stale alcohol rises out of the floor as dozens of aggressive masculine perfumes clash in the air. Human and horse sweat mingle with the odor, and underneath it all runs a repulsive, electronic metallic scent of overworked phone batteries and camera flashlights.

One of these photos will be shipped overseas, get tossed in a pile of images selected at random by large corporations and magazines to sell products, and be dragged out by a bored Montale executive who, by some miracle, slaps the horsehead on a bottle of perfume that smells exactly like that horrifying bar night so many horse moons ago.

As a horse owner, I can't ignore the name and a little picture of a horse on a bottle. Enough has already been said about this perfume so I'll try and keep it short.

Anyone who ever had a contact with a purebred Arabian horse will know one thing - their stamina, fire and durability are almost unbelievable. Some people find them "over the top", too fiery, too bold, too unpredictable, "too much"... But on the inside, they are delicate, graceful, so "talkative" and bond-seeking, you just have to be attuned to them.

Once you form a connection, you'll soon be able to recognize all of it's finesse, complexity and layers. :-) Beneath that fire, they are sweet and fragile.

That's all I'll say about Arabians Tonka. :-D

Wow, I simply love this fragrance: The rose, the cane sugar and the oud in contrast with the tonka bean, make it unique and addictive.
The sillage is extreme (one of the strongest fragrance I have) and longevity is also good, it stays on my skin for around 7-8 hours, on clothes even more.
I would recommend Arabian Tonka for anyone looking for a warm, sweet and rose based fragrance, perfect for the fall and winter (to avoid in summer).
The price is also very reasonable, making it a must-have for anyone who like sugary/sweet fragrances.

I was Extremely excited about getting a fragrance that will perform so good that EVERYONE will know that i am in a room / restaurant etc. I wanted a fragrance that is for special occasion and it is nuclear. Maybe it is just me ,BUT i got a batch from 2024 December and it is no joke - lasting around 10 minutes!! Projection 1-2 minutes!! MINUTES!! Someone will say it is fake - IT IS NOT. I checked both batch numbers , barcode , lines and every letter on the box IT IS ORIGINAL.But sadly…. This doesn’t change the fact that is total TRASH. Don’t get me wrong the scent is one of the best , but Montale is not a brand that will buy again probably. I even emailed them , but still no response.I waited like 3 weeks for “maceration” and NOTHING. Sadly i will just spray it on my wrist just to feel it for 10-15 minutes.AND NO i am not a nose blind. I have asked a lot of people and yeah.The new batches and the bad control of production is probably going to ruin this good scent!
6 months after i bought and returned successfully the first bottle of montale i gave it a second chance.Ordered one DIRECTLY from montale website AAAAAND i cannot believe, but it’s exactly the same as the first i bought. Very pleasant smell and NO performance at all. I have so many perfumes now and this is one of the worst performing fragrances i have. I don’t know if everyone is lying about arabians tonka or am i the unluckiest person alive?? In addition to arabians tonka i got 20 ml Intense Cafe which is muuuuuch stronger that my arabians tonka. I expected it to be like Interlude Man with strong projection , but nothing like this. I sprayed like 10 times and only 1 person of 10 felt the smell of it and we were closed in a room???? Arabians tonka is suuuuper overrated for it’s performance and despite the good smell it’s having one of the worst performances. Very very disappointed of Montale. I write them review and i still wait for their response. I will probably give it last chance of maceration and than i will return it and NEVER BUY AGAIN ANYTHING from their house , because they don’t deserve to have good customers with their really pooor quality control!!!

Have you ever seen a wild horse ? Or touched one ? Or be touched by one ? Here's your chance.
But you must be very careful because it's also very dangerous.
Arabians tonka opens with a very thick layer. Thick, sugary sweet, leathery, dark and mysterious.
It sure needs time to settle and you need to let it rest. The paper will give you an idea but the best approach is your skin.
So try it on your skin as well, always, no matter the fragrance.
Colder days (and especially nights) when you want to be felt.
Not that mass appealing but still likeable after some time.
Less will be deffinitely more because the performance is atomic.
12+ hrs with a very strong sillage around you for few good hours as well. 2-3 sprays will be more than enough. Trust me, I've used 8 sprays first time and by the 8th hour after I applied .. I just wanted to get some rest but.. couldn't. Guess why. The wild horse was still hard to control. So be careful because it might get annyoing for you and for the others.
Applied with caution will be wonderful. This is on my alley with that sugary sweetness. Just had to limit the dosage haha.
Glad to have this in my collection.
