Next level fruity floral
Ah yes, one of those fruity florals with a little bit of everything. Not my favorite genre per se, but this release by Neela Vermeire is something else! Where its mainstream congener Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum presents itself in a two-dimensional flat lay, Bombay Bling! comes with jumps, twists, hoops and loops.
The top notes consist of fresh fruits and warm spice. The transition into the heart notes is smooth, but exciting. I find myself wanting to experience the sweet mango and berries a little longer, but soon my attention goes to the playful combination of fresh, creamy and rosey florals. The vanilla, woods and patchouli in the base add a soothing, warm touch. Underneath I sense also a little patchouli, amber and spice.
Those "little bit of everything" fruity-florals tend to be blended into a huge singular accord, basically a big grey slurry. Bombay Bling! is a few levels up; it is very much alive. Each component is in constant motion and does its own thing, while the overall fragrance stays in harmony. A vivid experience, both beautiful and fun.
