Sweet & Salty
This is nice. The salty and sweet notes are very well-balanced. The opening has a sweet kind of zesty spice from the ginger and pepper. The ambergris is are present in the opening and work well there and also with the florals. I get a lot more of the jasmine than the champaca. It's very pretty!
I don't find this linear, although the salty note remains similar throughout the scent's duration. Along with the fading citrus and spice notes, the ambergris and musk keep the vanilla and carmel from being cloying Unfortunately, this fades fast. It may last 4 hours or so, but projection is pretty weak for the last 2 hours, give or take a few minutes.
For vanilla lovers, this would probably work for spring and summer. It's a fun, informal fragrance, a little different but not challenging, youthful but appropriate for anyone over 18. Great price.
