Hi guys, I salute you! Today I am starting with a Nobile 1942 fragrance, a brand I like very much. Today I present Il Sentiero degli Déi, which means "The way of the gods". This is now not just a name to sound especially great, but is even a very famous hiking trail on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. The path got its divine name from Greek mythology, as the Li Galli archipelago, which is said to be the home of the sirens, is located along this path.
You know, those deadly monster women who want to lure and devour male sailors with their beguiling singing... which once again proves that since ancient times you women have been nothing but beasts and beasts who only want to rip out the hearts of poor guys to eat them. I've been saying this for years, but nobody believes me, pah!
And yet there is evidence everywhere: You ladies look pretty enough to draw us in. You have long fingernails, because you can scratch skin and flesh more easily and effectively with them. You like heavy flowery scents that can easily suffocate us guys,... shall I list more? Yeah yeah yeah yeah,... I think I better come to the scent, otherwise I'm still busy tomorrow to describe the malicious being of you ladies here, mu ha ha ha ha ha ha :DD
The smell:
The fragrance is initially quite citrusy fresh with lemons, green notes and orange/tangerine citrus scents with a slightly aquatic and floral background. Only a little later you can smell a lot of orange blossom from the fruits or flowers
that go very well with the citrus scents. Jasmine adds a gentle sweetness, but this quickly fades away as the sweetness soon comes more from amber (and a little later from musk).
And you know what? Somehow it was by and large, because the scent doesn't change that much anymore. Okay, the end has more musk than sweet scent instead of amber, and the citrus scents are gone for the most part, but it stays soft and nice and sweet and yes, like I said, that's it. But: Instead, it smells continuously nice and with its freshness it also reminds a little bit of holiday resorts at Mediterranean places. Great :)
The Sillage and the durability:
The sillage is not very strong, which, as always, is probably due to the citrus scents, because such scents are never of great strength. A little bit later it gains a little bit of strength, but it never becomes very strong. Also the shelf life is therefore short, depending on the amount you apply, I would assume three to four hours.
The bottle! The bottle is rectangular with bevelled edges. One of its most striking features is the bronze and round cap or cap engraved with the brand's logo. Another eye-catching feature is the bronze label with the fragrance's name in beautiful font. All in all, a beautiful and solid looking bottle.
Conclusion:
So, the scent is quite nice. Nothing earth-shattering or even something new, but simply beautiful and made for the summer. It has beautiful and refreshing scents, which should work great on hot days, especially at the beginning. Afterwards it becomes a bit sweeter with amber and later musk and is therefore pleasant. I like the fact that the fresh and refreshing citrus notes do not fade away so quickly. This makes the fragrance especially on hot days super!
It's more of a daytime scent, but that's most of the fragrances with citrus notes. Whereby it also looks a bit like a loose scent for going out at holiday resorts, as it later also radiates beautiful, soft and sweet scents. That is why one would have wished for a slightly elevated Sillage. But at least it lasts longer than you think, which is perhaps due to the scents of wood and tonka.
In any case, the fragrance is already worth testing, the question is only whether such a perfume, which despite its beautiful scent is not really different from many well-made citrus scents, is worth about 100 euros. Whereby 110 Euro for 75 mL is still okay for such a brand, many others would even cost 100 Euro for 30 mL.
Be that as it may, the scent is beautiful and therefore worth trying. And that brings me to the end of my speech and I wish you all a pleasant evening. And you ladies: Trim your claws or something so you're at least a little less beastly! Although long fingernails can look sexy. ...and I'll be lured back here, you beasts!!!
