adr_ett Nomenclature 2015

Adr_ett is quite a minimalistic scent. It's based on Helvetolide® (a synthetic musk molecule by Firmenich with aspects of pear and ambrette seed) and other notes are just emphasizing the different aspects of the main ingredient. Being sprayed on the skin it feels rather like a personal signature smell than a perfume. But even being minimalistic adr_ett feels quite complete with its fully developed aspects.

The opening of adr_ett gives me an elegant feeling of an iris perfume with a touch of sweetness of fresh watery pear. The musky aura triggers the associations with a fresh clothes and corresponds with a "neat" or "smartly dressed" meaning of the German "adrett". The "zero gravity" aspect of the scent appears to me as a sense of a soft cloud slowly floating above the ground. Adr_ett is subtle and transparent. stays close to the skin, but leaves an elegant aura and an impression of a groomed person which makes it a good scent for an office wear.

Side note: Helvetolide is a synthetic musk molecule patented by the Swiss company Firmenich in 1991 and named after Swiss Confideration (Confoederatio Helvetica in Latin) for its 700th anniversary. Helvetolide belongs to the generation of acyclic or linear musks. For the first time it was used in 1997 in Swiss Army scent sold on Swissair planes. It is an elegant and expensive smelling musk with aspects of ambrette seed and pear.

adr_ett is for me one of the most beautiful musk fragrances ... fresh-powdery-clear ... reduced to the essentials!

About the scent:
adr_ett starts dry-powdery-fresh with a wonderfully enchanting iris. The opening has a bit of a peppery note. Musk is immediately part of the equation. Fluffy and cloud-soft :)
adr_ett is for me a quite linear scent that becomes a bit sweeter in the base but never too sweet due to vanilla and tonka.
Amber, try as I might, I can't detect at all here. I would have rather guessed a woody component that adds woody notes to the musk.
I don't find adr_ett warm at all. It remains cool-fresh-powdery, and that's just fine.
Iris and musk in absolute harmony. Reduced to the essentials, and that's what makes this enchanting musk-iris-powder scent for me :)
adr_ett is one of those fragrances that works well in both summer and winter ;)
The longevity is a good 7 hours. The sillage is unfortunately a bit too quiet, although now and then a gentle musk-iris breeze plays around my nose.
I would say it's unisex!
The bottle is simple-heavy and fits well with the cool scent. However, it is a bit too bulky for small hands and awkward to spray; one-handed doesn't work for me at all.
Unfortunately, the bottle has no cap ... but in this case, it wouldn't really fit anyway.

Conclusion:
Silvery glimmer on the horizon ... cool freshness!
The morning mist captures the first light of the day.
Cool iris in harmony with musk. Beautiful!

Pssstt ... not just beautiful ... absolutely enchanting ... iris-powder-musk lovers ---> definitely give it a try :)

Kleos Musk Series - Part 26

This fragrance was presented to me for testing at the Hamburger Hof perfumery, and it just wouldn't leave my mind. That's always a tricky thing when you're out and about. With all the scent melange you carry around on every available patch of skin during testing, one or another fragrance can easily get lost, depending on which one shouts the loudest.

adr_ett doesn’t shout. But it’s there. At home, I kept thinking about it, annoyed that I hadn’t taken it with me right away, and I wanted to at least get a decant. But dear Parfumo then immediately handed me his entire bottle! Thank you again for that!

When you spray adr_ett, a silvery cloud emerges. Synthetic, modern, clear. Interesting. Immediately - even in the perfumery - I perceived the musk. That’s why it wouldn’t leave my mind ;) At first, the sillage is strong, but adr_ett quickly becomes very close to the skin. And then you might think, oh, it’s already gone, but not at all. For many hours, a little cloud keeps floating by, containing this pure, white, clear, fluffy, cotton-soft, silvery, and powdery clean musk, bringing a smile to my face.

A musk that I love. Unsweet, soft, cuddly. Embracing and conveying a sense of security. A musk that I prefer to wear just for myself. So far, I haven’t taken it out for a walk. It’s only mine; it belongs to me alone. My beloved can, of course, sniff it, and he enjoys smelling it on me. I like to spray it on in the evening before going to bed, and then I can still smell it the next morning. And I smile blissfully to myself…

Oh, it’s beautiful! At the moment, my favorite musk fragrance. In first place. If only it were just a tiny bit stronger…. But I don’t want to nitpick. As it is, it’s wonderful. Period.

Neat. A beautiful German word. Meaning: well-groomed, tidy, elegant. Nice.

Chic, stylish... oh stop it!
In my opinion, the name is too harmless, almost wrongly chosen.
Neat sounds so old-fashioned! I think of styled hair shaped into curls with a hot iron held in place with a bow on the head, of modest skirts, starched blouses, ... maybe even a little scarf over the hair, in short: the word throws me back a few decades.
However, what I have been able to find out about the company is bursting with modernity, with art, with fine noses, with wonderful developments to create a fragrance!

Yet the scent is so much more than the name suggests!
This silver, clear little fragrance caught me on the sofa, as a small comet from the sprayer made a path through the living room, performed a little curve, little silver crystals stood in the room, until it landed on my skin. Gently. Cloud-like.
As if you were stepping into untouched snow, not that soggy stuff, no, the fluffy one with the beautiful snow crystals!
Like mist that has been drawn into a solid form.
Like mountain water flowing softly and quietly over silver smooth stones!
Like a silver cloak that surrounds you and gives you the freedom to glide almost weightlessly through the tides.
These fragrance molecules unite to create a work of art!

I don't even perceive it as "clean," no, rather as fresh and flawless. You have to like it; it doesn't clash, it doesn't challenge, it's uncomplicated, it has no edges. It thrives on the straight!
Of course, it does change on the skin, it is not a loud fragrance; the union of the fragrance notes takes place quietly, naturally, and full of harmony!

I don't feel neat with this scent.
But I feel a deep, soul-soothing connection to myself. As if I were closing the doors and resting within myself.
The longevity increased enormously on the second wear, by the way; it lasts a good 8 hours on me. But it is a
close-to-the-skin scent, a cloak of fragrance, a comet that draws bright and light paths, and the trail of the scent lingers on me.
I have never smelled such a enchanting iris with musk and vanilla and tonka. The pink pepper emphasizes the lightness and adds something almost fruity, yet never disturbing or too strongly perceivable on its own.

Neat you beautiful comet, you are welcome to move in and draw your silver paths here as often as you like!

There are scents that I smell and it sparks immediately. Love at first sniff. A big thank you goes out to Nattiscent, who sent me a sample of "adr_ett | Nomenclature."

This fragrance is less a perfume and more like a second skin. Or a warm blanket that I can snuggle under.
There are perfumes that stand out clearly, polarize, have a strong projection, and seem attractive and alluring. They linger in the room for quite a while, even after the wearer has long gone. I wouldn't attribute any of that to Adrett.

The first sprays are wonderfully iris-dry, molecular, and a bit out of space. Someone really put effort into brewing this in the Erlenmeyer flask. Then this dry, moon-dust-like liquid connects with the skin, and the coziest, softest musk scent unfolds. The epitome of cleanliness, warmth, a fluffy hoodie, and freshly creamed skin. It has something comforting about it; it wraps me in its embrace and radiates so much calm and security.
I like to hold my neck out to a friend when I have a new fragrance, and she rates it. For me, it's always very exciting to see how scents affect others. She beamed and said: Wow, that's a solid 10 out of 10.
However, the scent is rather quiet, unobtrusive, understated. It hardly radiates; you really have to come closer ;). She noticed that too. But I also enjoy fragrances that aren't immediately present for everyone.
Adrett doesn't make a big transition. After the powdery, spacey iris start, the musk puffs softly, cuddles, comforts, embraces, and stays for quite a while before it quietly slips away on cotton-soft soles. But only when it knows that the world is alright for the wearer. This scent is one of the good ones. It cares :).
The 100ml landed on my birthday wish list, and now I can enjoy this wonderful fragrance whenever I like.
