In the grand old manner
A vintage perfume like "Prisnanije" has to be treated with due understanding with regard to its qualities. Since my bottle dates back to the 1970's, it's impossible to decipher the head-notes of the perfume which are no longer intact. But what I smell in the heart is definitely a very flowery, very haunting mix of strong jasmine, bergamot and a deep, velvety patchouli. There is something very remote about this fragrance, I don't think that today's public would be drawn to this scent with its flowery aura fixed with incense-like resins that add a touch of mystery to the creation and give it a strong tenacity. "Prisnanije" is a demonstration of an old-school jasmine-dominated sperfume, "feminine" to the point of fragility and somehow seductive, but not in a blunt way, of course. I'd say that "Prisnanije" is the perfect fragrance for everybody who loves to look back in time and experience a perfume which reflects the grand Russian tradition of perfumery with a definite aim: expressing feminine beauty and romance.
