Nice Trip on the Ferry
On me, Kingston Ferry opens woody and green with a bit of sharpness that settles down very quickly into a soft woody, green floral. There is something here- an almost undetectable gasoline/fuel "note." It isn't unpleasant at all, and you sense it more than you really smell it (I swear that really does make sense, I think). It's not unpleasant at all and is, with the seagrass, evocative of a ferry.
I don't get any "fish" smell at all, just driftwood and sea grass, with their hints of salt, but I really like it. The saltiness, on me, is bringing bit of a fresh, briny accord into the woody, green florals.
On me, this saltiness fades within a couple of hours, and the drydown is a creamy, aromatic woody scent, which is very pretty and rather unique I think.
IMO Dr. Covey really hit the mark with this fragrance. It's quite good, although not something I would want to wear everyday. It's a unisex, adult fragrance, which lasts about 6-7 hours on me; sillage is moderate through most of that time. Great for warm weather, casual events.
