Amber made of specific flowers
The Context
This is one of the samples that I got from my birthday alongside Oriflame’s Incognito for Men and this one I used the least, t was sweet, it was synthetic and has too many similarities to Avon’s Attraction Rush for Him and that was a bit uninteresting but now I got the point of the scent profile and the scent evolution.
The Scent
This is an ambery sweet and synthetic fragrance. It has after the opening a powdery feel, like I’m in contact with a small table with amber dust layed down.
There is a fruity component alongside the sweet accord but just slightly. In the opening I pick the blackcurrant and the jasmine, not so much the bergamot, it is the fresh part of the opening. And in the drydown I get the floral component with the orchid and the osmanthus but and a bit of fruityness. The yellow apple is at the same time sweet, fresh and fruity, nobrainer on that, but I don’t pick it that clearly, it’s just in the background. The sandalwood with the vanilla is present in the late drydown.
The Projection
What I have is the sample and it does not project that far. It is for the first two hours a moderate range but in the next four it retracts into a skin scent.
The Longevity
I read that this does not go away easily and that it is true to an extent but I am not bothered that much in the drydown because the floral components are gentle.
So, as I mentioned before this is not a long lasting fragrance and it does not project that far but it has a neat scent profile and evolution, that feel a bit synthetic to be honest
The Perfumer
The nose behind this creation is Fabrice Pellegrin, who is a French perfumer who is under the Firmerich umbrella and he has worked with a lot of houses and companies on different projects but not many were that noticeable. His best success was working with Dyptiq and he made many great ones for the house such as Do Son and Eau Duelle, and also for Azzaro he made the original Wanted flanker. So Fabrice has a lot of experience in making appealing fragrances for designer houses and calm and smooth ones for the more niche houses.
Conclusions
This is a feminine fragrance that has a strong sweet ambery warmth but all wrapped into a synthetic feel. Good projection, good longevity and decent evolution. It is Fabrice’s more designer headed creation but it is pretty interesting without a doubt.
Thank you so much for reading my review. I was having problems with my laptop in the past few weeks and now I’ll have to replace it and that got me into a new habit setlist and also I need to make the other reviews written straight on the paper and later I will publish the next few reviews. This one I wrote it on the phone, and that was a bit hard for me, I got used too much to writing on my laptop. But anyway, next review will be on the masculine version of this flaker and has some cold gimmicks and similarities to Dior’s Sauvage.
