A (at the beginning) slightly peppery iris
Hello all sniffers! Welcome to a new scent commentary (well of course it's a scent commentary again. No one would want to read a comment about Star Wars or Batman, hmpf! And yet the fragrance has the term "Noir" in the title, which means black and would therefore fit well with Batman, but nooooo....!).
So... anyway, today it's about Orris Noir by Ormonde Jayne. An iris fragrance so, which are often yes quite powdery and thus pleasant. There are exceptions, but in general many scents with a lot of iris are often cuddly scents, because they smell so pleasant. Of course, this is generally also a matter of taste, since so some with powdery fragrances can not start and even get a headache from it.
Pah... so you don't like cuddly scents... no alien scents... you just don't like anything (yummy),... as I've said it all along and you keep disagreeing with it: You ladies are just nuts! That's right! :D
But I'm not going to get upset any further now, after all I still have to sniff the scent, it's possible that this one might not be a cuddly scent at all? Well, let's see, so here we go!
From the heart note, even better but so slowly coming to the base, these scratchy and dry fragrances are again somewhat better. It remains spicy, but it is now much more pleasant, perhaps because you can now also smell the resins like myrrh or frankincense much better and also the iris still radiates well. Yes, I would say the base is already much better than the beginning, but that's just like I said a matter of taste.
Still later, the fragrance is finally even softer and you smell just the typical fragrance notes, which also fit very well to gentle fragrances, as just to the iris, well, so fragrance notes like the mentioned resins and woods.
Anyway, so the fragrance is okay, but in my opinion not a must-have fragrance for diligent sniffing noses, and no, I do not want to express that you should not put your noses in all pleasing, but that you could also skip the fragrance here times, because he has not soo much excited me now. Otherwise, it is a fragrance for autumn and can be used both for yourself in your spare time and for the evening, for example, when going out.
Thus I come once again to the conclusion and yes, one "sees" himself certainly very soon again here :)

There is once some pepper, but also something scratchy, which smells not bad, but in my opinion does not fit so well with the rest of the fragrance. For this, the fragrance also acts times a little different than usual, gentle fragrances and could at least offer a nice change for all who like the fragrance. The sillage and the durability:
The vibe is okay, neither really strong nor too weak. After spraying on, you can certainly smell good for a short while before you have to gradually get a little closer. Okay, so this fragrance here is,...well,...just okay for me, per se. There are much nicer iris fragrances, but this one at least has the advantage that it doesn't just smell powdery and soft like most, but also brings a little bit of variety with peppery or spicy notes, at least at the beginning and in the middle part. Whether you now also like this in an iris fragrance, of course, is a matter of taste, I myself found it a little unusual, even if the spicy fragrance notes are increasingly weakened towards the base. From that point of view, of course, the scent at the very end smells mostly just soft and powdery as usual, but you know what I mean.
