Bye Bye Cycle
It was my intention to make "I want to ride my Bye ByeCycle" out of the headline for a short time, but it was quickly discarded due to a lack of general understanding. Also "Cycle of Life" did not pass the mental moose test due to feared misunderstandings regarding piety.
I think "Bye Bye Cycle" is enough pun and reverence for a top fragrance, whose label has unfortunately disappeared step by step in the past years towards irrelevance. With the release of Cycle, Otto Kern's olfactory wedding was definitely a success - what followed in terms of the license rights sold to Mäurer & Wirtz was more drugstore merchandise than anything else.
Cycle had exactly this fresh bite with discreet sensual spiciness, which simultaneously declared the Eau de Toilette to be suitable for office, sports and outdoor use. First quite citric-mingy, then rather woody-smooth with green coating and tentatively fruity beginnings. All in all, it is of high quality and with a felt Italian charm, even if I spontaneously think of "Cacharel pour L´Homme" as the most similar fragrance.
Thus Otto Kern was able to make a good name for himself in the perfume community with Cycle, a name that will probably last for a long time to come, although fragrance and brand founders are only history.
