Nimitr is a beautiful fragrance, the parts of its whole blended masterfully so that it reads more as its own smell than as a bunch of notes. It's a leathery, slightly animalic chypre and the brand copy for it is spot on, so excuse the fact that my imagery is totally similar to theirs. It's an older guy who isn't concerned with being cool in other people's eyes but comes off as effortlessly cool. It's like when you see those photos of random older guys in the streets of New York or Italy or Thailand or wherever and they have an insanely cool outfit that isn't some overhyped trendy whatever but truly timeless style they've had their whole adult life. Think the Nelson Mandela Yankee cap photo or South African flag outfit. This cool guy comes into the bar after having just smoked, takes off his jacket, he's sweating a bit. He's not concerned about anybody else but his drink and maybe the jazz that's playing in the bar. There's just something about him though, isn't there? Maybe it's the look behind his eyes or the effortless care taken to his appearance and grooming. Maybe it's how the smell of his sweat drifts off him, but you want to talk with him, don't you? For another comparison, this smell is like the (stereotypically) masculine equivalent of an office siren. It feels classy but with something just beneath the surface, like a button-up shirt unbuttoned one or two buttons more than expected.

It's not loud, the true artisanship truly shines in the balance and quality of its ingredients. It's a beautiful beautiful fragrance with a timeless elegance and attraction, and a kaleidoscopic level of detail, where you can focus in deeper and deeper into the fractal and smell more and more beauty.

This feels like a brother to so many retro masculines: a broad-shouldered chypre, sparking with citrus and aldehydes, prickly with Mediterranean herbs and vetiver, and warm with leather, moss, patchouli, and civet.

It's quite dry and reserved, but it has a beguiling depth that keeps it interesting.

I think this is a must-try for lovers of classic masculines from the '70s and '80s. It's not exactly treading new ground, but this ground hasn't been tread much in 30 years, so its nostalgia is much less played-out than it might feel otherwise.

how much beauty on this composition. unusual, flawless quality. perfectly balanced. I don't understand what I feel but everything is perfect. perhaps what prevails over me is a leathery but unusual part. how can you not have it? you would always want to hear it. prin is one of the best noses on the indie market right now.

How does one describe a perfume that is essentially indescribable? And this applies in double measure regarding both the fragrance notes and the scent type! Nimitr is a phenomenon for me in many ways. Now preaching the notes would be pointless and a waste of time, as they are not individually recognizable. The scent is simply too complex and does not follow a head, heart, or base note. Nor does it have a precise orientation. Although Nimitr has been declared a masculine fragrance by Prin Lomros, which is mostly true, it is also not. This may sound confusing, and it is! Let’s try a completely different way of describing the scent. I think that might be simpler!

Nimitr
Nimitr goes through several stages of orientation during its presentation. It begins with a surge of aldehydes like an old, spicy chypre, which it initially is. It then becomes a leathery-floral fougère and ends as a soft animalic-smoky oriental. However, the perception can also vary from person to person. Even I am sometimes very uncertain about what I have in front of me. Since I already mentioned that explaining fragrance notes here is pointless, I will name a few old to very old fragrances that each of us, whether man or woman, has probably smelled at some point. These are impressions and flashbacks from old and, for me, beautiful times. Nimitr contains DNA from Scherrer, Halston Z-14, Jil Sander Man Pure, G-man, Antaeus, Jicky, Versace L'Homme, Kouros, Ho Hang Balenciaga, Jules by Dior, Yatagen, Knize, Bandit, and Jacomo de Jacomo. All these impressions I have perceived alone, but I am sure that anyone who gets to smell Nimitr will believe they recognize a different perfume. I also consciously chose the word flashback because it truly is that way. Only brief, diffuse, and diluted impressions of one of these mentioned perfumes appear. Never in full length and strength, but as if they were like a ghost from old times passing by and then disappearing again. Eerie,...beautiful!

Conclusion
Whatever Prin Lomros has done, it has become fascinating and disturbingly good. Nimitr is like a phantom from the past. A perfume that is unmatched in terms of adaptability and orientation. Incredibly multifaceted and richly varied. Nimitr is a time travel into the past of old and very well-known classics. A perfume like a shimmering hologram. A scent that astonishes and captivates because it impressively connects modernity and the past. And whoever wears Nimitr will surely often hear:
Oh,...I know that perfume, it reminds me of......???

And whatever one believes to recognize,...it will be more than good!
