Eat me intense;-)

A very nice scent. Almonds, vanilla and heliotrope... all flavored with aniseed... mmmmm... delicious. The first 15-20 min. you want to eat yourself))) but then come the base notes ylang( not too much, just right) orange blossoms and all this well balanced, which is very typical for the house. With time the sweetness of vanilla and almonds disappears and the two develop a very delicate smoky note. Mrs Nikolai has remained true to herself, you can feel solid Guerlain school. Not ostentatious, everything in the right place, recognizable!! And for the money a must!!!!

Smooch Me!

Another de Nicolai I ordered at first sniff. Kiss Me Intense manages to have the same effect on me as my current all-time-fave "Kiss My Name" by Monegal, but it does so with completely different notes. I find the almond/aniseed/lemon top here instantly involving, beckoning me into the indolic floral/sweet-spice heart. The base utterly works: oppoponax, musk, vanilla. I'm beginning to recognize a pattern in the scents I love the most. They all have a kind of clarity or transparency, for want of a better word--nothing hinders their travel up my nostrils and straight to wherever the pleasure centers are in the brain. Usually, the notes smell completely natural (even if they're not) and the composition is balanced, but complex enough to maintain prolonged delight. Actually, the notes manage to coalesce into a distinct phenomenon that surpasses the components. Maybe this is what all perfumes aim for, but not all accomplish. On a paper strip, this fragrance disappears, for some reason, and it does have less projection and staying power than my prime love, Kiss My Name. On skin, it blooms enough that Kiss Me Intense can smooch me anytime. Bravo, House of Nicolai!

But of course, intense is better !

The Kiss Me Tender is not the light kiss a smitten lover gives tenderly, to his sweetheart so that not to scare her away. It is "tender" because of the lightness of the scent, the evanescence . It is just like the relatives who give you those " happy to see you" kisses, lending their lips more to the air than to your cheek.
Kiss Me Intense is a real kiss to remember. No trace of lemon. A load of sweet orange blossom, clove, cinnamon, vanila with hints of musk. Yet not too sweet and with better longevity. Do not expect sillage-such an intense kiss should be kept secret- since all Patricia de Nicolai perfumes stay close to your skin.
Nevertheless you are delighted by the delicate,warm scent.
Unisex? I don't think so.
Worth trying.
