the antithesis
First of all, this fragrance has become my absolute favourite and I have been wearing it several times a week for 1 year.
My love for fragrances has been around since my teenage years in the nineties. Heavy, sweet gourmand firecrackers had to be. Since a few years my taste has changed into other directions and I wear the "sweet" ones only very rarely.
The problem in many cases was that, for example, fresh, citrus scents quickly evaporate and usually nothing is left of them by midday. For me, a fragrance has to last a day, I simply expect that.
This masterpiece captivates not only with its wonderful, lovely, sparkling freshness, I take the fragrance even in the evening. So I smell good all day long :-) for me 10 out of 10 points, it doesn't get any better than that. One of my searched and found antipoles to my gourmand treasures

The striking newbie
The first thing you can notice is an intense greenish note, which has something aquatic about it and also a fine softness and is due to the mint.

At the same time, the mint is enveloped in a strong, very refreshing citric note, which also brings a delicate herbaceous tone, and the top note gives something awakening and the bergamot originates.

I already had some scents with mint under my nose, but until now it was the case that the mint on my skin always brought something dull with it, but this time this is not the case, but here I actually have the feeling of smelling a fresh mint leaf accompanied by a nice citric note.

It's also worth mentioning that the top note has a very cooling effect on the skin that actually lasts a good 5 minutes and will be an absolute boon for anyone who hates heat like me.

This constellation is perceptible on my skin for 15 minutes before the heart note unfolds.

For me personally, the heart note is a very pleasant symbiosis of juniper berry and grapefruit, because these two notes support each other to a very nice degree.

The grapefruit appears pleasantly intensely fruity, but also a bit strongly acidic, where you might think that the acid accents of the grapefruit are too much of a good thing, but this is not true on my skin, because the juniper berry with its soft berry-like accents turns the acid component of the grapefruit in the right direction, I think.

The juniper berry also brings with it a very delicate, tart, wooden tone, which, in my opinion, goes wonderfully well with it and gives the fragrance something striking, but also nothing masculine, and I can imagine this fragrance also very well in a perfume.

The heart note is perceptible on my skin for 3 hours before the base asserts itself.

"And I'll take a look at two fabrics that never hit my skin, hit me right here"!

A beautiful light, fine mossy texture combines with a very fine and rather delicate tart note, which provides a clear and tangible finish and is due to the vetiver in combination with the oakmoss.

In total, the fragrance lasts 6 hours on my skin.

The Sillage is designed from the outset to be perceived well at a quarter arm's length and this is maintained for 2.5 hours before reducing in leisurely steps until the fragrance finally completely fades away.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to our perfume "Honk1510" for the bottling.

A Serious Summer Scent
Just another lemon was my first thought when I tested L'Eau Mixte. There are haeps of perfumes like this around, some of insurmountable quality. Does Mrs. Nicolaï really has to add her two cents?

L'Eau Mixte greets us with a beautiful, but also unspectacular citrusy accord. It is not so much powdery, it has rather strength and vigour, and afeter a shot while it shwows some candy-like slivers of blackcurrant. No, you can get better stuff elsewhere – so I almost decided to leave it aside.

As is generally known, it is always the first impression that counts, but with L'Eau Mixte you should at least follow it to its heart note. Here it becomes clear that L'Eau Mixte is something more than the average lemon scent as the top notes seem to indicate.

The lemon is still there, something like blackcurrant too. But suddenly, everything becomes more tart, strict and serious. Floral notes emerge – a deep and dark rose is clearly detectable. For me, rose is a grave, kind of grown-up scent. Playfulness and suasiveness are not her style. This rose almost wears a grey dress, and in doing so, enters into an exiting dialog with the bright citrusy notes. The fruit note that I sense a something dark, even estimates this approach.

I could swear I smell a bed of Patchouli below it, but this note is not listed. Oak moss, musk and vetiver can hardly be sensed seperately. Mayby a trace of bitterness might indicate the vetiver. In the base this scent developes a little powdery.

So, do not always trust your first impression. L'Eau Mixte is a grown-up perfume, and it has the quality that one expects to get from Nicolaï. As soon as you get past the top notes, a very specific, remarkable style unfurls. Again, thi is difficult to describe, but it does not let you go so fast. Whatever – some perfumes keep their secrets!

I can only state that this is a great mélange of airiness, citric freshness and deep, dark floral notes. L'Eau Mixte makes a wonderful - and noble - summers' scent. As such it stands not so much for for a sandy beach, suntan lotion and ice cream – you would rather feel invited to a scent trip into a well-groomed landscape garden under a southern sky. Only a very distant sea breeze may delight its wearer among the opulent florals. L'Eau Mixte is a scent holiday for the discerning perfume lover. The customers will appreciate it!

Freshly spritzed lemon-lime, crushed mint leaves, and aromatics. Dries down to a woody-green base, maintaining the minty freshness.

Intensely green, sharp and citrusy, all zest and sunshine. A must have for lovers of very high pitched, refreshing summer scents. Fantastic.
