The tragedy of one is the pleasure of another.
With the EdP Intense, I had hoped for a long-lasting version of the EdP, and my expectations were not disappointed. I was somewhat concerned that the soapiness and the slight barbershop impression of the EdP would be lost, but they are just as present as in the EdP.
The tone is somewhat darker, but the note is more present than ever due to the fragrance's above-average sillage and longevity. Four simple notes manage to retain the fragrance DNA while creating something new at the same time.
It remains a very masculine fragrance with a rather classic character. Dry tonka bean meets the slightly sweet influence of chocolate and rum. There is no major development, but rather an extended fragrancing of the body and the room. With just a few sprays, waves of the fragrance spread in a way I have rarely experienced.
A successful evolution of the fragrance, which took 10 years to arrive. Well, it was worth the wait.
A stag that works its way forward in waves - a Harry Potter analogy simply had to be included :)
