Exceptional and new
I see some negative reviews here about the fragrance and yes you can't argue about the longevity in the end. It doesn't last well for 4-5 hours and the fun is over. But this fragrance DNA is very special. I've never smelled anything like it.
A very peppery, spicy start and yet I can smell this cocoa note right at the start.
Then, as the fragrance progresses, the tuberose comes to the fore and makes the whole thing a little sweeter. Slight hints of floral notes are added.
Thanks to the leather and this light boozy note, however, the sweetness always remains within limits.
I've never smelled this great blend of rum, cocoa and leather before. In the drydown, the whole thing becomes finely woody, leathery and cocoa-like.

The fragrance is extremely unique and I understand that not everyone likes it.
For me, a true masterpiece of perfume art that must be appreciated.
I can also overlook the durability and sillage.

Trip to medieval Mexico
As you can read, the ancestors of the Aztecs were already cultivating cocoa beans from around the 4th century AD.
"Xocolatl", the traditional cocoa drink of the Aztecs, was prepared from cocoa and water, then refined with chilli, vanilla and honey. So it really doesn't have much in common with the sweet milk cocoa we know today.

Directly after the spraying, the journey to old Mexico begins.
As a tourist and exotic attraction I am presented to the Aztec ruler. Contrary to what I feared, he seems to be interested and open-minded. A cocoa is served as a welcome drink. The unusual smell of the hot drink attracts my attention. Unknown and interesting is the mixture of black, bitter cocoa bean and spices, even slight alcoholic notes can be detected. No trace of sweetness. It's like boiling up a bar of the darkest chocolate, adding some water and rum and then spicing it up well. A very engaging thought, I think.
But suddenly, the mood of the ruler seems to tilt, his mine darkens. Perhaps I've violated a local code of etiquette? The cocoa is snatched away from me and I am smoked with a tuberose-flower-mix, which takes my breath away. I feel all dizzy
Yeah, that's pretty much how I experience it, the Aztec cocoa of Perris Monte Carlo. Sometimes a beautiful pure cocoa bean with spices, then again an overwhelmingly heavy flower-rum chord that makes me feel completely different.

He is interesting, but he doesn't make it easy for me!

More pepper than cocoa
When i tried this perfume i thought that i was going to find a cocoa bomb... But nothing further than reality! This is a spicy and floral perfume. What i get the most os a strong pepper note mixed with cardamomo and a detectable tuberose note. Can i smell the cocoa? Yes, probably, un the background... Something very soft, even fresh. It is like th smell of a few puré cocoa powder mixed into a tuberose and oeoer perfume. Un adition the performance is not very good... Do i like It? Yes but i think i would t buy It...

Don’t fear the Bogey Note
If it wasn’t sprayed on me without warning or warming words, I would hardly have experienced this fragrance: The note "Cocoa”, especially when prominently displayed in the perfume name, usually leads me safely and widely around the fragrance to the next exit.

From the point of view of a cocoa lover, my experience apparently is reversed: sandwiched between chili and cardamom, the bean reveals its true, pristine, nesquick-free beauty. What is, for example, an interesting counterpoint to a noble citrusy-woody-spicy convention like in „L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme“, becomes an unpretentious choir member.

As interesting as I often initially find cocoa notes in perfumes: Curiosity regularly gets the "interesting" with a petrified face . Why? As already mentioned in other comments several times, "chocolate" is frequently expected with "cocoa", and this gourmand note I usually feel as a chocolate mustache in the face of a scent.

In the process, I experience "Cacao Aztèque" essentially as initially light spicy; in particular, the peppery notes and undeclared chili set the prelude ("Series 2: Red - Harissa" sends greetings), which are already beautifully grounded by cardamom and the dry cocoa. In the further course, I perceive floral notes as only slightly independent - at best they accept the melody line imperceptibly, under which the increasingly woody notes already prepare the Drydown.

But that can get a bit too somber.

Remedy if necessary, the layering with a citrus-fruity and / or light-woody fellow who has little solo ambitions. I was recommended there Rojas "Elysium", which I have felt until then as pretty faceless - it was then suitably great; but certainly there are also far less wallet-busting alternatives.

overdose of spices, pepper on top. When it opens, it becomes a beautiful white spicy/floral scent with cocoa. Handsome!

A peppery+tuberose scent over a cocoa background with average longevity and a sillage probably low. Not bad but not my fav. Not niche to me

Nice cardamom opening morphing into a spiced up tuberose. Cacao? Nil. Good diffusion yet rapidly losing in volume. Dull and flimsy finish.
