Baiana - Bakermat
The scent reminds me of the song Baiana by Bakermat, my Portuguese is a bit rusty but I think he’s just singing about showing off his girl from Bahia like a club bro and then running away with her. Well, I heard the song back then because the melody is quite nice :D
When I spray it, it feels like sunscreen to me, then a fruity South Sea cocktail with old, frayed workbench wood like the kind you had in school in the workshop. This association fades quickly, then it becomes a creamy woody floral scent, so the opening and the wood note merge into something softer of both. Then it transforms a bit, from the frayed wood countertop it becomes a cracked brown coconut, so the coarse texture and the coconut smell together in a milk or low-carb zero sugar ice cream. Mixed with many different tropical flowers. In my mind's eye, there’s a South Sea idyll with wide white sandy beaches, such clear water that you can see the coral reef 10 meters out still in 5 meters of depth, behind you various palms and bushes full of Plumeria Frangipani. The coconut scent also becomes more intense over time, but after 3 hours, unfortunately, most of it is already gone and only perceptible very close to the skin.
Nice scent, I personally wouldn’t wear it (at least not when I go out and come into contact with others) but I would love to smell it on a woman.
PS: my scent rating of 8.5 mainly refers to the first 1-1.5 hours of the fragrance, after that it can be reapplied and it gets an 8.5 again ;)
