Mr. Marmalade or Sir Jam
A natural lad who loved to roam the woods, yet a lord of Queen's grace, that was he, Sir Jam(ie). He was always surrounded by a hint of sweet berry jam, strawberry, raspberry, he loved them all. Evil tongues claimed to have seen remnants of it in his beard, both after breakfast and after the 5 o'clock tea.
Today, he was once again in a hurry, the sun was shining and he was in such a rush after breakfast that his butler could barely tear the jam-stained napkin from his neck as he stormed out. Finally spring! He wanted to go into the woods, pick violets for Lady Sara, his beloved, check on the wild bees to see if there were already honeycombs, and of course to make a little fire to do some illegal slash-and-burn farming. (Unfortunately, his forest had been declared a nature reserve)
The violets were quickly picked, and in the attempt to coax honey from the wild bees, he had to climb the lime tree, but unfortunately, the branch broke under his weight. "Maybe a little less jam, dear Jamie," he chuckled to himself. Using the branch as a crutch, he hobbled away.
"Now a little fire, so that soon it will be a bit more field for me," said and done. Only a country bumpkin is not necessarily an expert when it comes to making fire. Wet fir wood is hardly suitable for that, but luckily there was still the lime branch from the previous bee adventure. Together with the damp wood, it smoked and stank quite a bit, the greenery of spring nature around him, his beard faintly scented of strawberry jam, the tucked-in honeycomb in his jacket pocket, - he was as happy as a little boy.
"Meadow & Fir," an organic perfume oil, starts with sweet jam and then quickly transitions into fiercely crackling fire and lots of smoke, apparently, it’s coniferous trees that are playing along here. Time and again, jammy and honey-like notes come through, but the fire never goes out. The natural scent has something of a room fragrance or an essential oil that wafts away in the water bowl with the well-known tealight. For me, the best scent from the line that I have been able to try so far (many thanks to Fluxit at this point). Nevertheless, the brand Phoenix Botanicals and I do not quite warm up to each other.
