Mojito Strawberry Daiquiri
There are two cocktails that one associates simultaneously with Cuba and the writer Ernest Hemingway who lived there at that time: logo ... that would be the Mojito, which Hemingway always slurped in his regular bar "La Bodeguita del Medio" in Havana, as well as there the "Daiquiri" from the "El Floradita" ("My Mojito in La Bodeguita, my Daiquiri in El Floradita") - but for him as a diabetic without sugar but with double rum.
The "Daiquiri" is also available in the famous variant with strawberry fruit pulp as "Strawberry Daiquiri" - and so one could draw the line to "Mojito Chypre", because it is definitely a mixture of exactly these two cocktails and thus possibly a homage by Monsieur Guillaume to the creator of "Who the hour strikes" as well as "The old man and the sea".
Otherwise, I cannot explain to myself why so much strawberry aldehyde was mixed in an eau de parfum with the first name "Mojito" that lime and rum are only a small side effect. The mint is more dominant, but in the combination with the red berry it seems to take some getting used to. At least it is understandable that the apparent party scent polarises so strongly, because the top note oscillates considerably between deliciously summer-fresh-fruity and synthetically sweet-curious.
This fragrance cocktail roars olfactorically for well over 10 hours and washes away the complete heart and base note with its strawberry freshness except for a few rather suspected molecules.
For me it symbolizes a lot of good mood pictures and sunny memories of Havana including the "El Floradita" bar, which is really one of the most outstanding in the world. ¡Salud
