A Sweet Tonka Almond Man Eater
Tonkamonde is a hypnotic bread pudding with seductive toffee sauce. It has a green note up first then slides into sweet caramel/toffee after about 15 minutes and there I spy...datura (not listed, but it's there!). Light creamy accord takes center stage. Sweet vanilla and delicate almond milk drydown. Here Almond milk is a way for saying that this almond is not a toasted, heavy or strong , that is blended seamlessly with the somewhat playdoh-ish vanilla. This has a commonality with Hypnotic Poison. If you like the idea of Hypnotic Poison, but fond the sillage a little too overwhelming, Tonkamonde maybe right up your alley. It is definitely and evening seduction scent. It is a tad bit cloying for me, since I don't enjoy sweet scents, but it is very feminine and mesmerizing at the same time. The base has a note reminiscent of bread soaked in cream to make bread pudding in a kitchen where the toffee has already been prepared for this delicious dessert. All protests will be abandoned and kings will bow before you in service to your every whim with this one. It's a Man-eater fragrance for sure!
