Dark Police 2002

I had this fragrance back in 2012-2013, while I was working in Italy. This was a 10 Euro fragrance. As the people mentioned this was a very liquorice type of fragrance. I remember one morning when I applied to much of this fragrance and my uncle who I worked at the time asked me what is it as it's very strong.

I believe this is now discontinued as I can't find it anywhere.

Upon first application you get, to my nose anyway, a very strong liquorice-like aroma. This tends to last 3-4 hours before it then settles down into a very pleasant, sweet, but musky kind of smell. The initial blast can be quite off-putting, but if you give it time, and are prepared to persevere with it then the end results are worth it in my opinion. Especially for a fragrance as inexpensive as this, which also smells quite unique for a scent at this price-point. Definitely a love or hate fragrance though, so be sure to try for yourself before you buy.

At the start, quite fruity berries, framed by juniper berries, geranium, and a wonderful mild vetiver note and jasmine. This combination is pleasing, although I am usually not a fan of imitated fruits or berries, it does not risk drifting into constant sweetness here. Nice, 75% nice even.
Since I don't notice a significant scent development, it’s not surprising that the cuddly, warm base consisting of amber accord + vanilla + super cuddly musk comes into play, only slightly enveloped by some woody notes. This doesn’t bother me further and was also to be expected.
Sillage is present in the first 1-2 hours up to okay-ish, then it becomes more of a good skin scent and lasts until the 6th-7th hour.
It successfully swims against the fruit sauces and office soup scents that are currently omnipresent, but it can easily be worn daily as a substitute. For both ladies and gentlemen, a joy to wear in autumn temperatures. Overall, due to the rather boring, ordinary base, it only scores about 60-70 percent.
