Doesn't deserve the hate: smooth, minty spa soap/aftershave
I tested "Paradigme | Prada" before reading how much hate this had received, and am shocked to see how much it's been dragged. I understand it might not be the most innovative or unique blend - but while I wouldn't wear this for myself, I'm actually kind of obsessed with it! I would definitely want to smell this on a significant other, and it's also now among my favorite "masc-leaning" discoveries of 2025.
To me, the bourbon geranium is the star of the show. This is only the second time I've tested bourbon geranium in a fragrance, and I'm absolutely in love with it here. It's present throughout the entire composition - and creates an ultra-velvety, subtly-mentholated/minty feel. Combined with the peru balsam, it brings a slightly-sweet and vanillic quality to the mint. It elevates the entire blend, and makes everything feel silkier and more refreshing.
I get smooth, comforting spa soap + barely-sweet mint aftershave through "Paradigme | Prada", and it pulls me in. On my personal "chili-stirring" scale, this fragrance somehow stirs but also simultaneously calms me. It has somewhat softer projection for a while, but that adds to the comforting appeal to me. (Projection noticeably increases in the base, when the amberwood becomes more pronounced.)
The man wearing this would be understated, even-keeled, and reliable. He's planned his life, and made sure you're part of those plans. No games or cliffhangers here, so it's just soothing safety (from the fragrance AND man).
So, no - predictable doesn't have to be boring... it can actually be (and is at least in my case, with "Paradigme | Prada" ) extremely attractive.
EDIT: Longevity on fibers is nuclear (and is mostly the amberwood base) - I'm going on day 5 of it sticking around strongly on a tester strip. So if you spray this on clothes (rather than skin), be aware!
