Improvement on the vanilla amberwood DNA
This takes that syrupy vanilla amberwood DNA (SWY, Le Male Elixir, etc.) and makes it a smoother and more wearable experience. Yes it is actually very strong and you can notice it after 8 hours in the air without even trying, but it never gets overbearing. What is surprising is that it actually lasted through a shower for me as a skin scent. This is a syrupy, less fresh version of the original EDP. However like most if not all amberwood overdoses, at the end of its life ~20 hours later, has a screechy woody thing going on.

If you're buying this for the leather, you will be disappointed. I went into this fragrance blind and not a single time did I think of leather. Only when I looked at the notes on the Sephora website. Which I did catch onto after reading it, but its just so minimal and the leather is very lackluster like many other popular designer "leather" fragrances.

Sweet and Spicy with Creamy Vanilla
How much someone wants to spend on a fragrance is none of my business, so I don't base my ratings on price. That said, I really like this. It's sweet, spicy and smooth, and I love the creamy vanilla dry down. This really nails the Prada DNA. I also get really good longevity on my skin and projection is pretty damn strong.

I haven't smelled Paradigme EDP, so I don't know why it gets so much hate. I'm guessing, like with many fragrances, it's rated down because of price or some TikToker told people they didn't like it. Shame, really. I'll have to stop into Sephora or Macy's and give it a try.

Many people hating on this…
…but I don’t quite understand WHY…

The decision was between this, the EDP, and I Will. I tried them all out, and this is why I chose THIS.

The EDP has a brighter, lighter feel, but I went nose blind to it pretty quickly. I know it was nose blindness because my wife and sons could still smell it when I asked for their opinion… for hours. It was gone to my nose in like 10 minutes, so that was a big no for me.

I tried I Will the night before and was actually thinking about getting it, but when I put it side by side with Paradigme Le Parfum, it was dwarfed. Absolutely too soft in that comparison, so the LP won.

Now on to how it smells.

It goes into a clean vanilla vibe right off the bat. It reminds me of Le Male a bit, but a little darker and thicker in the vanilla. It gives a very creamy beige sensation.

I wore it 3 days in a row. Day 1 was the night I bought it, and it performed very well.

The next day I had a Church event, and I wore it again. I didn’t want to overspray, so I did 5 sprays: 1 on my left wrist, 2 on the back of my neck, and 1 on each side of my neck.

This was NOT enough.

It lost most of its presence around me within about 4 hours. It never left a particularly large radius, maybe 2 ft at most, and the sillage was basically gone after 2 hours. I was quite disappointed.

This morning I decided that since it didn’t do so well the day before, I’d wear it to the office and really test it. I did 8 sprays: 3 on the back of my neck, 1 on my left wrist, and 2 on each side of my neck.

This WORKED.

It left a nice, wafting sillage, radiated about 3–4 ft outward, and lasted an easy 10 hours.

It’s nothing groundbreaking at all, but it’s versatile enough, and that creaminess will be good for the general crowd.

Now, at $210, it’s a little steep.

But it’s not as bad as the haters say it is.

Designer Disaster
I'm going to keep this short and sweet (pun intended). I have no idea what Prada was thinking with this one. Whilst the OG Paradigme was not a standout fragrance whatsoever (besides the bottle which I love), it was still a pleasant enough scent to where you could maybe convince yourself you were getting a high quality product. But man, I have to say, this new Le Parfum flanker is nauseating. They took what was already an arguably over-sweetened DNA and pushed it into overdrive. If Prada had a drive-thru they would say "Hi, welcome to Prada, would you like your Paradigme sweet or disgustingly sweet?" Shame. I'm sure an Intense, Elixir, Absolute, or Extrait version is already in the works for next year.

I just don’t know
Sweet. Strong. Lasts forever.

I have never had SWY, or Ultramale.

I feel like this one has to be better in the air; It toes the line with nausea.

Wife said she “liked it”.

I think it’s a good amber vanilla blah blah blah. I would say there is better out there for a better price though. But something does just keep me coming back to it… and I’m not sure why.

On a good day I really like this. On a bad day, it dives into the same territory as a cheap retail store fall/Christmas candle that you can’t escape.

In time people will see. This fragrance is wonderful. I absolutely love smelling it. Less versatile than OG but longevity is eternal.

A flanker of this mess? Really? Strike two, Prada.

Gift from my beautiful girlfriend. A creamier, gourmandy version of the original. Better performance, dries into a syrupy vanilla. Recommend

They took the original and made it sweeter. You’ve smelled this a hundred times before. Insultingly generic. Strong sillage/projection.
