Important News
BRUSSELS:

As reported by the "German Press Agency," the EU Parliament has unanimously decided to ban being male throughout the EU starting January 1, 2014.

Accordingly, it will no longer be permissible to dress, speak, think, or move in a masculine way. The EU Parliament states that this ban would strengthen unity in Europe and stabilize the Euro.

The company Puma has meanwhile been tasked with developing a remedy that can effectively combat any form of masculinity from the outset. This was recently introduced under the name "Green."
As Puma's press department assures, the feminine "Green" works effectively against all forms of masculinity, both chronic conditions and acute episodes.

The federal government expressed satisfaction and congratulated Puma for its extraordinary commitment in the fight against masculinity. More anti-masculinity measures are to follow!

So much for the reports...

The idea is good...
...but unfortunately not optimally executed. The scent itself is nice. It is very fruity and somehow smells like apple. But really more of a fresh and fruity apple and not one of those warm apples found in some winter fragrances. Therefore, Green Man is more suitable for spring and summer.

What is very disappointing, however, are the sillage and longevity. Just a few seconds after application, a large part of the wonderful opening has vanished, and you have to hold your nose very close to the skin to perceive anything at all.
That's a shame because I like fragrances that are not intrusive, but the person opposite should still be able to smell them when talking at a normal distance. Here, you probably have to fall directly around the lady's neck for her to notice anything.

The scent is relatively inexpensive, but that is also noticeable. There are other fragrances at the discount store that last longer.

The Turn
.... recently I dragged my better half into the perfume shop (which I usually spare him from ;) ).

As I sometimes tend to be - a bit annoying - I had nothing better to do than to test men's fragrances unasked. Since I like green as a color, I grabbed Puma green and sprayed it on my better half's neck (which he was absolutely thrilled about. Really. ;D ). After a nice inquiry, I was allowed to test another scent and picked some Lacoste fragrance that was quite piercing to the nose.

The top note of the Puma fragrance was also sharp, too sweet; you can definitely believe Nikodemus's comment regarding the top note.

Well, I ended up richer by one fragrance that I planned to buy, but not my better (endowed with angelic patience) half.

About 40 minutes later, having long forgotten the perfume odyssey, a kiss on the neck... another one... another one... my goodness, I would have loved to have him right there.......

The scent transformed on his skin into a warm, masculine, musky aphrodisiac. The sweetness and the sharp smell completely vanished (which Thoddü might criticize regarding the longevity). I was quite amazed at how much a fragrance can change. So back to the store, spray the scent again; was it really Puma Green, whose top note was anything but attractive on the skin? I smelled it... sweet and sharp... I was unsure, a fragrance can't change that drastically, which made me uncertain. So I left again.

Indeed, after a while, the same alluring effect returned. It's pretty clear what little surprise he found the next day ;)

Unearthed Treasures
It is indeed unusual, but not impossible, that even in the drugstore aisle there lurks the occasional "rough diamond" of the fragrance world, waiting to be awakened from its dusty slumber. A fact that causes exclusive niche fragrance enthusiasts to wrinkle their noses with their heads held high.

Thus, a fragrance from Puma also deserves a chance to be at least mentioned and briefly tested.
What is so wrong about testing a perfume in the €10 range? (just take the wonderful Tabac, for example) However, the real question is, what can one expect from it?

Puma Green starts off as its name suggests, with green accords, and the bergamot faithfully delivers the freshness in the top notes. The lavender that follows shortly can also be sensed. From then on, things get a bit more complicated.

Overall, it’s not actually that bad, if it weren't for the almost exasperating synthetic quality, which becomes more pronounced as the fragrance progresses, intensifying the urge to wash it off. However, it gets really bad (almost unbearable) once this highly artificial vanilla kicks in. It's a shame, really, because this scent component, especially in this form, functions like a gigantic wrecking ball, definitively extinguishing all life. From that point on, the fun is over.

On a positive note, the sillage is commendable, as Puma Green at least stays pleasantly close to the skin.
The longevity is exactly what one can expect from a fragrance in this price segment, which is quite good in this case (...)

Experienced noses will quickly reach their limit here, as it’s not enjoyable, especially since there are a perceived million better alternatives, even in this price range.

Despite its questionable quality, Puma Green should not discourage anyone from continuing to search for unearthed treasures on the drugstore shelf.

sporty, elegant, unobtrusive, attractive
I bought this fragrance a few years ago for my then-teenage son. He is now 25, still uses it, and says that he often gets compliments on this scent. Somehow, we have become attached to this fragrance in his case and now buy it online from Austria and recently from the Netherlands, as it is no longer available in drugstores. We are probably purchasing secured remaining stocks, but all attempts to find a very similar scent composition in perfumeries have failed.
How should I describe the scent ..., fresh, subtle, not a piercing typical sport Eau-de-Toilette, but pleasantly unobtrusive, sporty-elegant, a hit on my son. Apparently, several people in his circle feel the same way, including newcomers. Despite all the freshness, the scent also has something warm, a little bit of musk?

If anyone has a tip on what smells like Puma green, we would be happy to hear it.
However, I have already sought advice in perfumeries, even with a sprayed sample of the rare fragrance, but so far there has been no match.
Unfortunately, I cannot identify individual components, as I am not trained in that. Some people mention apple here. But I can't say that clearly.
At the beginning, it was really very, very affordable, a good starter fragrance for a teen. But now, one has to pay a rarity surcharge of more than three times the original price. And soon it may not be available at all. Very unfortunate.

At first, it's zesty fresh green, then a bit softer. Very pleasant, but I also really like green scents. S/D well, but for the price, it's totally fine.
