Push the Heat - Mysterious & Sensual Puma 2016

The new Puma deodorant collection was introduced by Jeremy Fragrance on YouTube. Not everyone here likes him, but he has some interesting tips and ideas. This includes the Puma line under the name "Best smelling deodorants." Apparently, this line was developed by many well-known perfumers, which is quite interesting since the Puma deodorants are available at low prices. The collection is now also being advertised with figures like Marco Reus & Usain Bolt.

His favorite was this one, as it has the "La Nuit de L'Homme vibe." I can only agree. The similarities are undeniable. I ordered this deodorant spray in a 6-pack for 20 euros on Amazon. Even individually, they are available for about 3.80 euros in any good drugstore. The YSL deodorant costs around 30 euros, which is almost ten times more. I must admit that I am a bit stingy when it comes to deodorants and pay a lot of attention to the price. 1-2 expensive ones for special occasions are fine, but for everyday use, I prefer deodorants between 3-5 euros. That's where the Puma line comes in handy. As Jeremy says, Anne Flipo also worked on it, one of the perfumers of La Nuit de L'Homme. Since this line is also marketed by L'Oreal, a similar scent is not really surprising.
I know the YSL deodorant spray and its performance, but I find this Puma really convincing for a spray in this price range. The similarities to this scent are indeed present. This is also confirmed by looking at the fragrance pyramid. The lovely cardamom note is also there, paired with a nice sweetness. In my opinion, it doesn't smell quite as luxurious as La Nuit, but that's not really relevant for everyday use. I find it sweeter. Tonka & vanilla come into play here. It reminds me of a mix between La Nuit and Joop Go. It fits well with Puma's modern image.

48 hours is, like with many deodorants, exaggerated, but since one should also shower daily, it's anyway unnecessary. The scent projection is not very strong, which I don't find bothersome with deodorants since they shouldn't overpower the perfume. Skin-close or a little more is completely sufficient.

Overall, it's really a nice deodorant for little money. Since many branded deodorants are really overpriced, this is a great alternative. As far as I know, this is exclusively a deodorant line.

The inspiration for this body spray clearly comes from the French house of Yves Saint Laurent.
Upon the first spray, a cloud of La Nuit de l'Homme immediately fills the air, with cardamom and lavender making their presence known. The product is very similar to the La Nuit deodorant spray but is available for a fraction of the price.
Unfortunately, after the first minute it becomes monotonous and then remains close to the skin for a while; the claimed 48 hours is, of course, exaggerated.

Those who know the La Nuit deodorant spray will find a budget-friendly alternative with significant parallels here.
However, in my opinion, the YSL deodorant stick is more suitable for long-lasting La Nuit vibes under the arms, but as a body spray to complement the EdT, it’s not a bad choice.
