Floral and soft
Opardu is one máster perfume more by puredistance. This fragance is very soft, powdery and a bit soapy and sweet. For my José innthe centre of the perfume are the gardenia, the tuberose and the Carnation with a very delicate lilac. The rest of flowers go together in a very Well blended scent. the cedarwood give some stability to the back phase.
The performance is good. The longevity is high while the projection is very subtle. However It is noticeable for long time from short distances so i wouldnt say that It has a bad sillage. It is a very nice perfume for everyday use, perfect for spring of for summer when the sub is almost gone. Although the smell is a bit more femenine i think It could be a good option for guys Who LOVE perfumes like carnal flower or iris poudre, like me :).

Soft and feminine
She sat in front of the easel and looked lovingly at the white paper. She already imagines what the painting would look at the end and even though it is not her first one , she is sure that she will love it the most.

The paper is already wet , ready to absorb the emotions and colors. Her hand draws the first delicate touch of color: purple specks come alive on the paper and then metamorphoses in small and delicate lilac flowers.

The woman smiles looking at the flowers and she almost senses their fresh, crisp smell that brings happiness. Softens her brush in color, and among the lilac flowers, she starts painting a sweet heliotrope flower. This time, the touches of color are more vivid , you get lost in their depth. If you close your eyes, you can feel their warm and powdery aroma. Yes! This is definitely how memories smell - a blend of space and time, over which the fine powder melancholy sat quietly, protective.

There is still something missing... Hmmm... What could it be? Ah, yes! She is now running her soft brush in the moste candid shade of white, the same as gardenia petals. The woman touches the moist paper with such emotion that the creamy smell of flowers, along with a piece of her soul emerges near lilac and heliotrope flowers, perfecting the painting.

The white Sun throws its white rays over the humid watercolor painting, gilding the floral bouquet with a silver glow. The flowers are frozen in time and as their petals colors combine harmoniously, their scent becomes palpable, filling the room, blending with the tranquility of winter days.

Sequentical disruption
I tested M earlier than OPARDU. It was a fault. After so high expectations towards OPARDU, I am quite disappointed now.

At first sniff OPARDU unfolded like a lewd and shameless M would undress. Resinous flowery flood inundated the room. Jasmine! A ruthless dictator, giving resinous gifts instead of panem et circenses. After two hours folks proscribed the dictator. A fragile, meaningless gardenia remained.

M really undressed. But nothing special was hiding under the clothes.

Another Excellent Release From Puredistance, But Is The Value There?...
Opardu opens on skin with a powerful blast of a tuberose and lilac floral duo with significant gardenia support. This overall heady white floral accord remains through the heart where it is now joined by just slightly indolic supporting jasmine and a faint rose well in the background. Into the dry-down the white florals finally recede and a soft faint cedarwood note from the base is revealed, remaining through the final stage of Opardu's life cycle with just trace remnants of the white florals now supporting it. Projection is above average and longevity is average.

Opardu by Puredistance is all about white florals. The tuberose and lilac are definitely the stars here and you really have to enjoy those notes to fully appreciate what Opardu has to offer. The cedar backbone is really undetectable until you get to the final stage of the scent's development, as all the various florals completely dominate it. It became more than clear early-on that the tuberose and lilac used in Opardu are of a very high quality and one can certainly sense the quality of the composition in general. That said, comparisons with reference tuberose compositions including Carnal Flower are inevitable. Using that benchmark, it is hard to recommend Opardu for purchase despite its admittedly high ingredient and composition quality as Carnal Flower by EdP Frederic Malle is of similar quality and potency at a current cost of $340 for 100ml versus $590 for 100ml of Opardu ($198 for 17.5ml). Neither scent is inexpensive in relative terms (though both are so strong that one or two sprays should be more than enough for most wearers), but at least to my nose Carnal Flower is every bit as good as Opardu and maybe a hair better. As such, if one were in the market for this kind of white floral scent (which I tend to prefer smelling on a lady instead of wearing myself) it seems Carnal Flower is the better buy. Value aside, Opardu smells excellent and is well-deserving of its 4 star out of 5 rating.
