Nice Introduction to Oud
Never bothered with the 1M collection because they are all reviewed as being sweet fragrances which I don't like. 1M Golden Oud is consistently reviewed as a departure from the other 1M's, specifically being only slightly sweet, so decided to give it a try. Am glad I did. This is an awesome, masculine leather-oud fragrance with very good performance. After an initial punchy opening, it quickly settles into leather & oud with a spicy backdrop. Really like it and bought a full bottle for myself.
1M Golden Oud also makes for a gentle oud introduction. If you are hesitant to try some of the more ballsy Middle Eastern oud fragrances, you could start with 1M Golden Oud. And it's definitely not as screechy as the One Man Show Oud Edition. Golden Oud is significantly more expensive than OMS OE, and smells it. lol
As Golden Oud settles after a few hours and its edge starts to smooth out, it does remind me of No Limit$ after No Limit$ has settled for a few hours, but they are not the same, of course. Golden Oud is leather/oud while No Limit$ is leather/chocolate.
