When it was still allowed to smoke in the pubs
Must have been around 2000, when smoking was still allowed in restaurants. In Spain at that time there were TVs everywhere in the pubs. If you entered a pub where someone was smoking Ducados, you smelled it immediately. I always found that unpleasant. Tobacco smells good - unsmoked. Manolo, my one-eyed colleague from Andalusia always smelled of that smoke, his car.......everything. A warm guy, always helpful, but the Ducado smoke, really to get used to.
Habanero starts with intense tobacco, similar to Ducados, the pepper tickles the nose a bit and the cardamom note is great. Stulle writes minty, yes also a bit. It stays like that for hours then. Nice and oudy and creamy it is. I find it to be getting sweeter and sweeter. In the drydown it becomes more and more like Decas by Xerjoff, I find it powdery, like Decas with Opoponax. The smoky note is coming through more and more. The fragrance is very spicy.
My colleague thinks I smell like the Christmas incense cones. The durability is great, with me easily 6 hours and I am well perceptible to all. I think the fragrance could become exhausting after some time. Let's see what time brings.
I like the bottle very much - I like the simplicity.
