Masculine Floral - Amazing!

Wow! I own "Shurah" Pour Homme, and now I own "Shaghaf" Pour Homme, and while they are similar, I'm pleased to say they are different enough in composition and blend, that I'm happy to own both. Shaghaf, as other reviewers have stated already, "is more spring and summer (fruity and floral), and less smoke and winter" (para-phrasing). That's exactly what you get, it's like walking in the tall grasses, the sun beating down on your shoulders, and all around you is the smell of flowers and ripe fruits; as the breeze picks up, you get whiffs of powder, florals, sitting upon a balsamic and sweet foundation. I'm not really into floral fragrances, but this one is without a doubt the best floral fragrance on the market to date marketed for men. Great any time of the day, any season, but isn't a "mall of America" fragrance with the "mass appealing top-10 fragrance counter" appeal. This is for someone adventurous; who wants to stand-out, but not too far out, just enough to get noticed once in a while. Rasasi is a house that keeps putting out the hits! 10 / 10 for me!!!

Shaghaf is a mixup of sirupy sweet and synthetic fruit notes.Very very cloying and not sexy at all. Just let me tell you it is definetly not suited for the western nose.

An analogy heard of is quiet fitting. Think of lemonades. An Italian aranciata is a refined fruity orange lemonade which is very classy and delicate. On the other hand there are tropical fruit drinks which have fruits with funny faces on the packaging like you get when you are on vacation in a southern country. There are just overly sweet and chemically tasting and you know there is not one drop of real fruit in there. That is Shagaf.

Summer alternative to Shuhrah, not worthy

I have purchased Shaghaf based on the hype of the web regarding this fragrance, never tested before.
However I have in my collection Shuhrah (which I slowly realized is a masterpiece).
Reading the reviews online, I figured Shaghaf as a child of Shuhrah and Invictus: wrong!
It definitely has the Shuhrah dna, but it leans towards some sort of skanky/aquatic version of it.

Unfortunately, in my opinion this is a fail.

If you already got Shuhrah, dont purchase this. It would be a not worthy imitation of it, which doesn't really add anything interesting to the original fragrance. Instead, it takes away all that luxurious base of Shuhrah (leather, wood, smoke) which makes this fragrance a masterpiece.

I have kept this perfume for 1 week, I have tested it in comparison to Shuhrah. A total deafeat.
Shaghaf doesn't smell interesting, it doesn't smell expensive, it doesn't stand in term of performance to Shuhrah (the luxurious base notes of my Shuhrah last 12hrs on skin and 24hrs on clothes).
Every day I kept smelling those 2 perfumes...it was clear after few days which one was the unique must-have in my collection. The other one seemed just a cheap clone.

I have then sold my Shaghaf.

The one guy in the circle of friends...

There is always that one guy in the circle of friends who makes inappropriate sayings, gets too drunk or finds "blonde jokes" funny. Still, you have to like him somehow, even if it's hard.

The 2018 version of Shaghaf pour Homme, which is actually touted as a summer scent, is similar. So I don't know who sprays the scent on their skin at plus 20 degrees but I have respect for you.
The fragrance is more in the direction of hawas than shuhra, with much more synthetic fruit and floral accents, so that the aquatic is actually blown away completely.
Definitely has headache potential in summer if you exaggerate.
But I can imagine that it is quite popular for evenings in summer or as a party scent in general.

Pro:
-favourable price
-Fragrance DNA that is generally liked
-Suitable for everyday and evening use
-long shelf life

Contra:
-very sweet and synthetic
-in high summer unbearable (in my opinion)
-no fragrance novelty (have all been there before)

Conclusion: For fragrance beginners or someone who has no fragrances at all a nice all-rounder. For connoisseurs, collectors or those interested in new things, rather no recommendation to buy, unless you love fragrances like One Million or Black XS
