Hawas Lava Gold does very nicely.

First of all:
The bottle is cleverly designed as always. Red bottle behind golden elements. Looks very chic in the light.

About the scent:

The first spray starts slightly alcoholic sweet-fruity with a light leather touch. One should sense where the journey is headed. Primarily, the scent starts fresh, fruity, and sweet. Designer typical.
Once the initial burst fades, a modern, wearable, pleasant interpretation of the raspberry-leather-saffron-oud combo remains. Although I perceive oud here less as a layman. The scent becomes a bit darker (which makes it more suitable for evening wear). The fruit blends beautifully with the leather and saffron, resulting in a less sweet, spicy mixture that certainly does not drift into the strongly masculine territory.
It is the typical appeal that Rasasi creates here, developing a great mainstream fragrance that still offers ingredients that one might encounter less frequently in designer fragrances.

Longevity and sillage are, as always with Rasasi Hawas, absolutely top and satisfying.

Due to the high frequency that Rasasi is currently displaying with the Hawas line, the scent is rather hard to find in Germany. I got it with EU shipping from the Netherlands, which significantly reduces the value for money.
Alongside Thunder and Exotic, it's the only one I wanted to add to my collection. The other two are good but unnecessary.
Conclusion.

So, for anyone wanting to test the raspberry leather oud saffron combo in a pleasing, modern, and not too niche way, this is definitely the right choice.
Sweet fruity light spice. Among all the new Hawas releases, this is indeed an interesting candidate.

I dare to write a review and summarize my impressions of this fragrance.

The scent starts fresh-fruity-sweet, with a lot of pineapple and a hint of citrus. Very slight Aventus vibes. Quickly, a spicy saffron note comes into play. Over time, Lava Gold becomes fruity-leathery, with raspberry, leather, and saffron shaping its character. The leather does not come across as dirty or animalistic, but rather clean, slightly soapy, and somewhat synthetic.

In the drydown, Lava Gold becomes warmer and darker. The fruitiness recedes a bit, giving way to amber, caramel, and a mossy smokiness. Patchouli remains subtle in the background. I hardly perceive an oud accord. The leather stays present for a long time and darkens slightly over time.

Overall, Hawas Lava Gold is a very mass-appealing fragrance: sweet, with a darker undertone and strong performance. It lasts over 24 hours on my clothes. The typical Rasasi-Hawas longevity is clearly present, and the sillage is also above average. It initially seems rather masculine, but remains fundamentally unisex. In my opinion, it is best suited for evenings out.

In summary: Sweet, fruity, spicy, leathery, and striking, pleasing as well as strong in performance.
