I want to go to the desert island !!!
Last year I had all the fragrances available up to that point listed by Rirana Parfume. I will explain in my upcoming blog how this came about. Now Rirana had released this new fragrance in 2019 or 2020. A few weeks ago I heard about it for the first time and wanted to know directly how this perfume would smell. Of course YouTube was browsed and the American reviewers informed themselves. Since Rirana has a large distribution partner in North America, this was the safest place to go.
You could hear that the scent was very Caribbean, very fruity and very seductive. Of course you can't imagine too much here, but it appealed to me. Well, since no one here in the forum had ever tested the fragrances, it was correspondingly difficult to get a sample. So I was tempted to make a blind buy and ordered directly from Rirana in Malaysia.
If you are looking for Caribbean-smelling scents, you will often come across Virgin Island Water with your nose, as coconut and lime are mixed here. Personally, Virgin Island Water did not appeal to me that much. It was somehow too boring for me and generally not worth the price, since this is a controversial topic with Creed anyway
So now I have finally held this bottle from Malaysia in my hand. You can see that it is still handmade, because the screw connection from the spray head to the bottle is made of sheet metal and the spray head of my bottle is a bit slanted. I don't blame the brand for this, but it is only enough for a 7.0 rating in this area. The bottle is wrapped with a thick yarn and therefore has something like the theme "handmade". The spray head, on the other hand, is relatively good and is easy to fill and can handle any kind of dosage, from jet to fine mist.
But now we come to the fragrance, it is simply the Caribbean in the bottle to spray on. Because with this fragrance we speak of a Pina Colada for the skin. I was already blown away after the first spraying, because it gives me the scent that I expected from Virgin Island Water. So seductive and fruity. Who now thinks "That's guaranteed to be extremely sweet" can only disagree. It is surprisingly pleasant and much less sweet than one would expect. It sniffs for really juicy pineapple, which indicates the sweetness. This is accompanied by milky notes and a hint of alcohol, which always remains in the background. That you can exactly imitate the scent of the cocktail is truly a fairy tale come true. It's also nice that it is very unisex and you never get the feeling that it is too sweet or too alcoholic.
The durability is also pleasant for such a fragrance. Over my general wearing time of eight hours it can be perceived at any time, whether close to the skin or radiating a little from the skin. In addition, the projection is also very present within the first two hours, because everyone in a two meter environment notices that there is a pina colada moving in front of their nose.
A great smell from this little known house. A horny blindbuy !
