Bois Royal Rituals 2024

Picked up the 15ml for about £15 and was pleasantly surprised. It starts of woody and resinous, I don't really get much citrus in the opening. Dry down is very much sweet woody smelling to me. Longevity is okay - the sweetness lasts a while, just wish the opening lasted a bit longer. It has resemblances to Halfeti

pretty good dupe of etat libre d'orange clean suede/tom of finland, not exact but very similar dna if you can handle the added sweetness from the orange, juniper berries, tonka and cheaper/less refined vanilla. on me it's better undersprayed, if i go the whole hog it gets overly synthetic very quickly in an unpleasant way. but i was looking for something affordable to hold me over before spending etat libre d'orange money and this is it. if fragrances don't lean sweet on you it's definitely worth a try

I was testing perfumes yesterday.
One of my favorites, Tom Ford Fucking Fabulous, I had sprayed on my left wrist throughout the day.
Should I buy it or not? I kept smelling it but couldn't decide...

In the end, my wife wanted to go to Rituals. I didn't even go in and sat on a bench.
Then someone sat down next to me who smelled quite unpleasant.
So I stepped into Rituals directly to the perfume collection.
One cap after another turned over, and I stayed with one.

Huh, this reminds me of something.
I smelled it on my left wrist, and indeed the similarity to the FF from Tom Ford was immediately noticeable.
I quickly went on Parfumo, looked up the notes, and indeed, quite a few of the notes found in Tom Ford are also here for a significantly lower price.

A great alternative in my opinion. Test it out for a direct comparison if you have the chance. And let me know what you think.

How did he end up at Rituals, I wondered as I tested the range a year ago. It doesn't smell generic, it's really high quality and has a DNA that is unknown to me so far, which I really like.

If I had to make an association, it would be a romantic movie night snuggled up under a blanket with my partner. It radiates a really lovely, pleasant warmth. The progression hardly changes, and what stands out to me is a creamy vanilla & tonka base. Light notes of orange and nutmeg. Unfortunately, I don't know what orris root smells like, but there is a distinctive note that dominates the scent profile, which I would now simply attribute to orris root.

S|S are around 7 hours with a projection of about an arm's length, which is quite acceptable. The price is also very fair, and the quality of the sprayer is very good. I find the overall impression of the bottle and the packaging to be visually and tangibly very high quality and appealing.

Conclusion: If you're looking for a warming cuddle scent, I would recommend this one.

Never in my life did I think I would buy such a masculine fragrance, but I simply couldn't resist. Especially the juniper caught me right away. It comes out so beautifully and has something incredibly pleasant about it. Along with those warm, woody notes that give the fragrance such a deep, elegant aura and have seduced me. I am honestly surprised at how much this scent has captivated me.
