Here comes the "Man in Black" - with Cavalli into the dark lavender feeling?
The fragrance was a blind buy, as it doesn't seem to be very widespread and rather unknown. Also hired. More like an insider's tip. That made me curious.
After the first test a thought followed promptly and immediately:
It smells like Escada Magnetism for Men!
That's right, the spicy Coke Brause.
In fact, even after a direct test with magnetism, I see clear similarities. I'd say 75% equal. Then the ways separate. Magnetism is spicier with more pepper and slightly tingier, while "black" is softer. But also with Black I sometimes smell Cola similar out.
The lavender in this fragrance has often been mentioned.
Lavender, a fragrance and plant that does not enjoy the highest popularity and is not one of my favorites.
Representatives of this fragrance known to me are "Lavande & Vetiver", Le Mâle or Joop! Nightflight.
Well, here we have an evening and night scent of Cavalli with lavender in the heart note. Lavender which is usually only found in fresh fragrances.
In addition I must say, as already before me was also said, it plays a minor role in the smell and/or is perfectly veiled for the nose by the other components. He's disguising himself perfectly.
Namely from the strong base notes musk, tonka bean and cedarwood.
The fragrance is sweet-powdery but in a refined way. Not the way you normally know it. The lavender and white pepper provide a seasoning with loosened portions, which fuse with the heavy base, are even covered. Yes this scent definitely makes its base and that stands for the dark in the scent.
The fragrance's uniqueness and uniqueness speak for itself.
