For her: uplifting, standout heels

The last of the Roberto Ugolini fragrances I haven't reviewed. Complex, stinging, and different are what I remember about my first experience with High Heel White.
Granted, I haven't smelled this on the flesh in a while (two years plus) but it contains some very nice memories.

I'd mentioned before that this house was my introduction to not only niche perfumes, but perfumes in general. My ratings are based on my experience with this discovery of perfumery.

I recently found the last remaining drops of an official sample and luckily it still carried a faint whiff without the need to pull it apart to smell. Even now, nice memories came back. I had given the full sample to a dear childhood friend of mine that I don't see very often, so smelling the heavy galbanum and main spiciness from the coriander and cardamom brought back a wonderful comfort. The heaviness of the galbanum brings strength to this long-lasting fragrance. I remember being able to smell this the following morning and throughout the day on her.

I have almost no knowledge on female fragrances so I have nothing I can personally compare this to. That being said, I would classify this as the female version of Loafer. Spicy, soapy-clean, and sharp. This is not an easy wear as it's pretty bold but I think it adds a nice clean touch to a woman, with an uplifting air of power behind the strong florals.

Great Craftsmanship...

As summer comes to an end, I find myself weary of many things. It feels a bit like saying goodbye to summer dresses, strappy sandals, sunshine until 9 PM, and colorful flower boxes on the balcony. On to new shores!
At ALzD, I discover Roberto Ugolini. I order High Heel White as a sample. Roberto Ugolini is a shoemaker from Florence who creates bespoke shoes. His creations are sold worldwide. Together with the German fragrance expert Herbert Stricker, he has created six scents so far.
The first spray was exhilarating: citrusy, fruity, fresh, the fragrance opens up, sparkling like ice-cold soda water. The further development gives me the impression of seeing rose petals covered in hoarfrost early in the morning in late autumn, and my breath is white from the cold: spicy, cool. A hint of rose and iris can also be detected. For me, it’s a fresh, powerful white scent.
What remains is a woody note mixed with a pinch of incense, a touch of patchouli, and woods. The longevity is about 5 hours. Even after showering, there’s still vanilla on my skin. I will also test the remaining fragrances.

TOP Women's League? Powdery-floral-soapy Femininity?

In many reviews, this Ugolini is described as floral-green. For me, High Heel White is more of a fresh, floral, powdery, and bright fragrance. It represents a clever femininity that reveals a certain character presence: Woman, show yourself as you are! Have the courage to stand by yourself! High Heel White is also slightly soapy, and it reminds me of Xerjoff's Pikovaya Dama and Chanel No.5. How? Exactly!…

Even though many believe that the rose stands out prominently, for me, the floral aspect from the heart notes takes center stage, a colorful mix of iris, rose, lily of the valley, but also cardamom, galbanum, etc. I don't consciously pick out the tonka bean or vanilla or the woody notes - the base, however, suggests a complexity that is definitely noticeable in the fragrance. And what about aldehydes…?... If there are any in there, which I strongly suspect, they don't bother me; on the contrary!

Of course, this Ugolini is more of a women's perfume - but it combines so many aspects, especially in the drydown, that the fragrance DNA is certainly also wearable for men and can be appreciated by the male side. Only the desire for a sense of cleanliness and a certain floral-powdery-soapy elegance must be present.

High Heel White is long-lasting for several hours, the sillage and projection are present and noticeable, but not overwhelming. So, for anyone looking for a pleasant impression of freshness and noble, bright floral notes, High Heel White is highly recommended - even if just for a trial…

Incredibly feminine scent....

....that has very light vibes of Teint de Neige. I can't understand the low rating here, but it develops and lasts differently for everyone. From my experience: it blew me away. Such a soft, extremely feminine scent. At first, it smells completely different than in the drydown. At first, it is rather strong, but after 2 minutes it develops into a very powdery, white scent. If anyone wants to sell it or offers decants, please get in touch. Unfortunately, I can't afford the price for a bottle at retail, but it's worth saving up for.

Dear, I'm here in Rome

I am still in Rome and it is downright hot. Back home, High Heel White from my small decant immediately reminded me of Italy - but I couldn't quite say why. However, the scent sat for quite a while and didn't really fit into my modern German big city everyday life. For my last trip to Italy a few weeks ago, I took other fragrances with me - and after a visit to the southern Italian perfumery, I later associated a Spaniard with this vacation and Flamenco came to mind. As it often happens - these travel memories and associations. But this time HHW was supposed to come along. We have an apartment in an old palazzo and upon entering the floor, there it was: The beautiful old-fashioned Italian soap scent, the antique furniture, the elegance. And I immediately thought of High Heel White at first impression! After two days, I thought: Now is the right time for Ugolini. Wonderful. The scent fits so wonderfully with this trip - with the culture and the great food. How nice to underline this impression with such a fitting fragrance. Wonderfully Italian, soapy, floral, feminine-elegant and for me just a little citrusy. Today, High Heel White is going out with me in Rome! And it will surely bring back memories of the time in Italy to my home Germany, where summer is just beginning!
