marzocco by roberto ugolini bespoke shoes - an extremely upbeat perfume that radiates good mood. edgy, somehow cheeky and absolutely unique!

in general, the brand has been my fragrance house discovery of the year 2020 - because it combines under one roof several of my absolute favorite perfumers. for example, the very much appreciated by me christian carbonnel or chris maurice who is also very active for xerjoff and countless other brands - or the fantastic maurizio cerizza to name just two of the world-famous masters. the entire series is under the creative direction of the legendary herbert stricker aka the nose behind.

roberto ugolini is actually a world-famous custom shoe manufacturer based in florence. from the friendship between herbert and roberto arose over time the idea to create their own fragrance line. based on the pronounced fragrance passion of robert and the extensive wealth of experience of herbert could only be grandiose... for me personally remarkable is that I actually have not found a single fragrance from the series that does not fit for me. of course there are the favorites like marzocco and blue suede shoes - but in terms of quality, there is not even the slightest compromise in any of the works.

never again without my ugolinis! :D

Childhood is a lifelong pursuit. Woe betide us when it catches up with us!
Marzocco is a sweet-spicy perfume, which at least at the beginning raises associations with Ahoj Brause and takes me back to my childhood. The fragrance opens very tangy, sparkling and slightly fruity with a nice citrus accord. Although officially mint is not listed in the notes, the composition has a pleasant freshness. As the eau de parfum progresses, it takes an exciting transformation. A beautiful, subtle floral bouquet of orange blossom and jasmine spreads out and is enveloped by a creamy, powdery vanilla. In the base then shows a tart-spicy character, which is brought to an end by dry woody tones. Overall, the composition is very smooth and invigorating. The shelf life settles at seven hours (+) with a moderate projection.
---------------------
Verdict: Marzocco is a very playful, unique and pleasing fragrance. Immediately after spraying on, the creation catapults one into a good mood and exudes a summery flair. Citrusy, creamy, sweet and fine, just like sweets from childhood.

Quite surprising
Actually, I had written a fairly negative statement about Marzocco.

I had to delete it! Marzocco is much better than thought.

I still think that the top note smells 1-to-1 like a Fishermans Friend candy. This makes Marzocco for me the first 1.5h unbearable.

Then the fragrance but changes in a completely different direction. Creamy, fresh and interesting with the peppermint note. Really times a new idea and what other, as what one usually knows so.
The sillage is decent and the durability better than you expect from such a fresh fragrance. So you must not be deceived by the first impression.

The question is only one buys a fragrance whose prelude is unbearable (especially for the money)? This question I must now answer for myself and I say: No!

All in all, Marzocco is but a real surprise!

The delicious entry into the niche world!
Marzocco by Roberto Ugolini starts with a fruity fresh top note, which is accompanied throughout by a mint note, which is not in the fragrance notes inside, but I smell something minty fresh cooling out.
Pretty quickly, so after 10 minutes, the orange blossom comes into play and I would already say that it is an orange blossom focused fragrance that reminds me of Zadig & Voltaire - This is Love, but it also somehow what completely independent. Nevertheless mega delicious! Just this combo between orange blossom and the vanilla note, which then also comes relatively quickly, reminds me of orange ice cream! Finally, then comes the woody base.

I would say that it is a super fragrance for people who feel comfortable in the designer area, but want to enter the niche area. But also in general I think it's a super fragrance that's a good all-rounder and fits in every season. Grade by this creamy orange blossom vanilla combo on the one hand and on the other hand these Frischen notes.

So who is looking for an everyday fragrance, is hereby I think, very well advised!

The invention of the summer freshener
This absolutely soft perfume from the house Ugolini is probably what I imagine under a summery fresh softie - initially a fairly short-lasting top note of citrus - but not really tangy fresh but rather round creamy - without being sticky - followed by an even milder orange blossom - the jasmine is rather guessable.
The whole thing is underlined by a gentle wood note...but never loud, but just as finely adapts to the orange notes...in addition, a stable musk / vanilla composition comes more and more into play
The whole fun plays around you with playful ease - restrained and quiet without any tips....es is never intrusive and therefore remains even on warm summer days like a fine silk cloth that envelops you...
Certainly nothing for friends of summer crisp effervescence - rather the gentle seducer...
I strongly recommend to a tester before buying...for some friends of fine fragrances it could be too quiet...
